Pain is it just a cruel game
Why it makes you believe your insane
Its just another feeling I can't explain
Yet I feel it over and over again
It is my only companion
It can't be soothed away
Cause unlike physical pain
Emotional pain breaks you down
One by one until only a portion is left
I'd rather have broken shattered bones
Than experience this ugly monster
It comes at night to take my breath away
Leaving ugly scars for you to love
I'm not broken just in pain.
