Mitsuki angrily pouted. "Geez!! How come something bad always seemed to happen on the day after our birthdays?!"
When they woke up for school, Yamato and Mitsuki had to wait for Nagi to come with his large umbrella so they could all stay dry. The forecasts didn't say anything about rain, and yet here they were walking home in the rain.
"C'mon, Mitsu," Yamato said. "The rain isn't that bad."
"You're just saying that because your after-birthday was worse."
"What?!"
Nagi laughed in between them. If he remembered correctly, Yamato found a spider floating in his cereal and it scared him to death. He wasn't able to eat cereal again until May.
"Who gets scared by a dead spider anyway?"
"A dead spider is still a spider, Mitsu!" Yamato crossed his arms. "Well, what about your after-birthday? When Ichi scribbled all over your—"
"Don't you dare bring that up!!"
Nagi began to laugh louder. Remembering how Iori ruined Mitsuki's scrapbook dedicated to the legendary idol Zero always made him smile. However, he did feel a bit guilty for being the one who gave it to Iori in the first place.
Yamato and Mitsuki stopped their bickering as Nagi continued to laugh. And like magic, the rain came to a stop. The clouds parted away to let rays of sunshine peak through.
His laughter ceased and he put his umbrella away. "It stopped raining!" He leaped forward and spun around. "Last one to Mitsuki's home is a rotten egg!" And with that, he dashed off.
"H-Hey!! That isn't fair!" Mitsuki whined and ran after Nagi.
"Wh— Huh?! Don't leave me behind!!" Yamato cried out, joining the chase.

The day was hot, as expected from summer. They were walking down the streets savoring their ice creams. Nagi was walking a bit behind his friends as to make room between them all. He and Yamato had been listening to Mitsuki tell a story from school.
"Sogo's drawing was supposed to be a character from Usamimi Friends, but I couldn't tell because it looked so weird." Mitsuki sighed. "He even gave it to me as a small gift for Iori, but I don't know how I should give it to him."
"Wait, seriously?" Yamato's curiosity turned into a giggle. "Lemme see!"
"I don't have it right now," Mitsuki responded, "but I guess I can explain it."
Nagi continued listening to their conversation with a smile. Every couple seconds he'd let out a small laugh, but it's nothing compared to Yamato's fit.
"Ppphhhh— HAHAHAHA!!! That's really what it looked it like??" Yamato couldn't contain his laughter any longer. "Oh my God, shut up Mitsu!!" He gave Mitsuki's arm a playful shove.
"H-Hey!!"
The ice cream in Mitsuki's hand fell out of its grip, landing on the sidewalk right by his feet. The three stared at the fallen treat.
Yamato warily looked back at his friend. "H-Hey, Mitsu?" He brought his free hand up to comfort Mitsuki. "You oka—"
"DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" Mitsuki pushed Yamato away with enough anger and force to send the latter's own ice cream flying.
"Wh—!!" Yamato turned back towards Mitsuki. "What was that for?!" He went in for another shove, but was met with Mitsuki locking Yamato's hands in place with his own. "All I did was push you!"
