yeonjun woke up to the pain in his arms. somewhere in his sleep, which he somehow managed to fall in, yeonjun had slept on his arms.

yeonjun got up and looked at the time. it was 5:14 am. too early but yeonjun simply couldn't go back to sleep anymore.

he got up and went to the bathroom. he removed his bandages and looked at his wounds. they looked ugly and stood out on his skin. if his parents saw this, he would've been immediately sent to the hospital and if the scars didn't go, they might even get him to go a surgery to remove the scars.

but luckily the didn't know about yeonjun's habits. actually, they knew nothing about yeonjun. for then yeonjun simply, one face of the family. he would attend formal events and parties for the sake of their family if his brother was not there.

yeonjun was simply just a back-up for his brother.

yeonjun walked into the school, wearing full sleeves so that his wounds on his arm would not be visible and as for his face, his mask covered it.

"YEONJUN-HYUNG" yelled kai from a distance.

yeonjun was too used to this to be even embarrassed from it.

"quit yelling first thing in the morning." said taehyun, walking kai on the head.

yeonjun was about to say something when he heard someone say. "YEONJUNNIE."

yeonjun froze. there was only one person who called him this. yeojun was too embarrassed to even look at the person.

yeonjun felt an arm around his shoulder. yeonjun looked to his right and saw soobin.

"yeonjunnie, why did you ignore me? you even left me on seen yesterday." soobin said pouting.

yeonjun rolled his eyes. "i told you not to call me that. now because of you everyone is looking at us."

"yeonjunnie?" said beomgyu. "you let HIM call you yeonjunnie? even i want to call you that."

soobin gave a hearty laugh and stuck his tongue out to beomgyu. "only i can call him yeonjunnie cause he is my BEST FRIEND."

it wasn't possible for yeonjun to be even more embarrassed. he was at his peak.

"excuse me? you're best friend. junnie hyung is MY BEST FRIEND." said beomgyu narrowing his eyes at yeonjun. yeonjun looked at both of them in confusion. were they...fighting over him?

"no he is m---"

"both of you shut up. you both are my best friends okay. and i'm soobin's yeonjunnie and beomgyu's junnie hyung. now please shut up." said yeonjun. however, he regretted it the moment he said it.

soobin had a gleam in his eyes and gave yeonjun a huge, wide smile.

"See, i am---"

"soobin, what the hell are you doing with the gays?" said a guy who yeonjun recognized as jisung.

soobin turned with an undescribable expression on his face. his happy demanour died down a bit but he quickly covered it up with a bright smile and said, "oh guys, you're here! let's go."and soobin left them.

"why do i feel like soobin doesn't want to be with them?" said taehyun, looking at soobin's retreating figure.

yeonjun also looked at soobin's back. he thought the same thing too.

it was the period before lunch and their english teacher walked inside the classroom. soobin really liked this teacher. after all, she paired him with yeonjun.

who was his best friend.

soobin smiled to himself. he didn't know why he felt so happy when yeonjun called him his best friend.

"okay, so the after lunch, the science teachers have a meeting and since you guys are part of natural sciences, i have been substitued with all the three period after lunch."soobin wasn't particulary disappointed. no one in the class was. out of the all teacher, she was the most fun and easy teacher to talk to.

"so how are your projects going? are you guys done?"

a bunch of people in class, including soobin said yes. he looked over at yeonjun who didn't even bother looking back at him.

"oh wow that's a lot of people who are done. is there anyone who isn't done?"

no one said anything.

"wow, that's amazing. i'm touched, really. hmm, so now that you are done what i want you to do is act it out."

act it....out?

soobin looked over at yeonjun and felt like laughing. his face was literally the horrified face soobin had ever seen. soobin let out a tiny giggle.

"soobin, is there anything wrong?" asked his teacher. soobin wasn't able to control his giggles. with his eyes, he signalled towards yeonjun who still had that horrified expression on his face.a smile came on his teacher's face when she saw yeonjun.

"yeonjun-ah, don't look so horrified. one would think i'm throwing you to some deep dark dungeon."

yeonjun seemed to have noticed that everyone's eyes were on him and he blushed beet red. he looked at soobin and glared at him. soobin just shrugged his shoulders.

"so, i'll give you lunch break and the one period after lunch to work on it. we'll have the plays in the last two periods. you don't need to act out everything. just key points. also, don't take this lightly. i will be grading you for this.

"but ma'am it's a historical romance" said jisung.

"so...?"

"i can't act out a historical romance with yeji. that's disgusting."

"no excuses, mr.han"

"but, umm, what about soobin? he has to act it out with a guy. that's even more disgusting."

soobin looked at jisung. this is why he could never ever let anyone know what his sexuality was.

their english teacher raised an eyebrow. "yeonjun-ssi. do you have a problem acting with soobin?"

"YES, DUH." said yeonjun. but then yeonjun looked at soobin and his sxpression softened. "i do have a problem with acting but not because he's a guy. it's just that i can't act. and there's the factor that the guy you paired me up with was soobin."

"hey" said soobin. "how can you say that to your bestie?"

"you're no--"

"remember today morning?" said soobin.

yeonjun curled up his fists. soobin really didn't intend to annoy him. it was just so fun to see him annoyed.

"well, none of you have a choice. the bell will ring in about three minutes so, i hope to see some really good performances in the last two periods."

soobin looked over at yeonjun.

this was going to be fun
