Chapter 8: Betrayal

As the girls trained all week, the girls are getting stronger but the lack of rest they're having is making them weaker. It has been weeks since she got the symptoms yet she didn't have the guts to tell everyone besides her best friend. little did she know she's not the only one

"Yah. you girls okay? You guys look so worned out" IU said. her dongsaengs groaned and laid on their bed "This is way more harsh than our training back then unnie.." Yeji said to which they all agreed "yah.. Chaeyoung, Yena, you guuys feeling alright?" Tzuyu raises a brow. Yena and Chaeyoung gulped "Y-yeah.. just a little head ache hehe.." Chaeyoung lied "you know they might think you're infected if you guys act like that.. do you need water or something?" Irene asked and checked their temp "we're funny unnies, We promise" Yena said "hmm.. if you say so.. you guys should rest" Jihyo said and pats Chaeyoung's back "but unnie, we only have an hour of rest. you guys should eat now.." Yena said "no no. We're staying here till you guys feel better, do you wanna go get tested?" IU asked. Hyewon looked at Yena "tell them Yena.." she said "tell us what?" Eunbi started to get worried

"unnies... I.." Yena looked downed "Yena.. don't tell us you're--" Chaewon's words were cutted off when Yena started to sob "yah yah yah! Yena, why are you crying?" Sakura an the others started to comfort her, except for one person "I'm sorry.. I didn't know how but what I found out that I had the symptoms.. I got scared.. I'm scared I might hurt you all" Yena sobbed "s-symptoms? what's the symptoms?" Lisa asked

"the first week would be uncontrollable flow of nosebleed, the second week would be you're changing moods, then the cycle continues.. I'm surprised Yena got this far without transforming yet..usually mosters would start taking over it's host the second week of their infection.." Hyewon stated "so that's why you always hide in the bus.." Yujin said "and why you scolded Wonyoung for stepping on grass.." Joy added "and.. the amount of blood in your hankerchiefs..." Yuri slowly said "Wait... didn't Chaeyoung scold Dahyun for breathing the other night?" Jisoo pointed out "and how you never wanted to shower together or your excessive use of your bathroom time outs.." Mina started to tear up "you guys think I'm infected?.." Chaeyoung asked "no no, it can't be. I didn't get bit now scracthed. that can't be it. I was careful-" Chaeyoung's words were cutted of when Hyewon spoke "that's the virus.." she said which gained all eyes on her "the virus chooses their host without people knowing.. you'd only find out if you had the symptoms.." Hyewon stated

"how do you know all this?" Ryujin raises a brow "oh you know.. a little birdy told me.." Hyewon went to her bed and grabbed a journal "like how it told me we have a spy here.." she glared at her, the spy. "spy? what do you mean spy? we all got here together." Vivi said "I don't know.. maybe YURI can explain.." Hyewon stared at the hamster. Yuri got shocked "W-WHat..?" she was now feeling guilty "Yuri.. is it true?" Nako asked "I.. I.." Yuri looked at them all "Yuri-yah.. please don't tell me you're.." Yena was answered when Yuri looked on the ground "I-I.. I'm sorry... I got no other choise.. I.." Yuri started sobbing to which Yujin and Hitomi comforted her "Y-You betrayed us..." Dahyun started "after all this time you were lying to us? You knew all along?" Eunbi asked, feeling betrayed by her own member. Yena stared at Yuri before she felt something drop on her hand "oh no... H-Hyewon...!" Yena said and started to distance herself with the others "shit.. Control it Yena!" Hyewon said and grabbed her bat "I-I can't.. the emotions I'm feeling.. it's.,.. AHHH!" Yena fell on her knees as something started growing from her back, the blood from her nose flowing out, her eyes slowly turning Yellow and black "YENA UNNIE!" Yuri cried out

"Yena! fight it! Yena!" Hyewon keeps reminding. with all the stress, Chaeyoung also fell on her knees "Oh no.." she said and felt as if she's being pulled up, and a tails growing from her back "CHAEYOUNG!" MIna was held back by Jeongyeon, they watched in horror as their two friends are being eaten by a dark smoke. the two were silent until Yena stood up like a mindless zombie "shit.." Hyewon cursed "Y-Yena unnie?" MInju asked. Yena stared at them until she smiled like a maniac "Yena?.. haha.. who's that?" she asked in a very demonic voice, suddenly a plasma like shadow tentacles came out of her back, mixed in the shadows and lit up with red neon light. everyone screamed when they felt their tent flew up in the air, the soldiers now surround them but was soom killed by Yena using her rinkaku "YENA STOP! THIS ISN'T YOU!" Jinsoul yelled.  "There's no more Yena choi in this body.. I now control it.. haha.. I should thank you Jo Yuri.. your betrayal awoken her inner monster.. I would've have successfully took over if it wasnt for you.." Yena's tentacles then flew up and held a certain guy in the neck "and you.. the hatred this asian girl has for you? haha.. I should thank you.." Yena smirked as she held Jeonghoon's neck "But wouldn't it be more fun to kill you?.." She started to grip onto him tighter "Yena stop that!!' Hyewon was about step in when she was suddenly held up "Chaeyoung!!" Momo yelled when she saw an orange tiger like tail pull Hyewon up "Chaeyoung put Hyewon down!" Tzuyu said and tried getting the latter off. Chaeyoung was about to stab Hyewon when it got shot in the tentacle which caused her to scream in pain and let Hyewon go

The two were not surrounded by soldiers. The two girls stood side by side as their tails retracted but still had a smirk on their face, Yena threw Jeonghoon at them as she stood there with her arms raised "You girls dont have to do this.." Nagasu spoke "oh but we want to.." Chaeyoung spoke, the evil grin still plastered. They fell silent until Chaeyoung's tail stabbed one soldier and threw his dead body away, causing them to aim their guns once again "Bring us our friends back!" Yeojin exclaimed. Yena and Chaeyoung stared at them "We'd have to kill them boss.." Jihyo overheard "NO! You're not killing them!" She yelled and turned to the soldiers "It's either that or we all die" Nagasu said seriously "Jeonghoon." he turned to Jeonghoon, who handed them guns "Choose. You guys stay here and be protected by us.. or die with your friend" Jeonghoon said seriously as he handed Yuri a gun "This is what you girls have been training for.. choose" Nagus said in a bored manner

The girls looked at Yena and Chaeyoung "N..No.." Yuri muttered "Yuri.. come on.. if you do this we'll finally be together.." Jeonghoon pursuaded "but if you kill Yena.. You'd loose your best friend.." Hyewon added as she glared at Jeonghoon. "CHOOSE! NOW!" Nagasu yelled which caused the girls to flinch. They stared at their friends before looking at their guns "I.. I choose to rather die" Jennie threw her gun away "Me too! Chaeyoung and Yena are my vros" Lisa dropped hers and looked at Nagasu. The other's soon followed and looked at Yuri, who was still hesitating "Yuri.." Eunbi said. Yuri held onto her gun "I.. I'm sorry.." she said and pointed the gun at the two infected "YURI NO!" Chaewon yelled and was about to stop Yuri when they were held back "pull the trigger.." Nagasu said "YURI DON"T DO IT!" Chaewon yelled soon followed by the rest "DONT DO IT YURI!" Haseul yelled. Yuri held onto the gun until...
