Every December 21st, winter solstice, I grieve the fall of my closest companions in a world parallel to mine. On that day, I set a note on fire with my wishes and gratitudes and reminsince all those lovely nights dreaming of their smiles, their laughter, and the memories we all shared.

I let myself hum and draw images of their happy expressions as they enjoy all of the luxuries of Heaven and Elysium, wishing them a better life next time.

And on that day, I mourn the death of the person whose memory I keep locked tightly in my heart, promising to never ever forget the rare smile they would wear, the bright eyes full of life that gaze at me with so many emotions, and the poetic words they would speak just to charm me.

I can't forget, I promised.
