Why Now?

Matt POV

Kensi is working hard to complete the first 2 month assessments of her final year.  Some of the professor's have given her a hard time.  Mostly out of jealousy and some from spite as they know her parents and hate the fact that Kensi understands things quickly and moves ahead of them. 

She also has not seen Thomas and Lee as much as she hoped as they are in their different years.  

 If that wasn't enough, the director she met in LA has asked her to help out again with the new drama he is shooting with Max and Lucy.  It was delayed as the first director had been arrested for driving while drunk and had a number of different drugs in him.  

Dee was contacted and he took over.  Kensi tried to say no, but he assured her that she wouldn't have to see Max or Lucy.  He wanted her to record some scenes that he knew Lucy would have trouble with.  

When the gang heard about Max coming to town.  They decided it would be best if Pete came to visit as Kensi has been worried about Pete working himself to hard.

Living together has worked out well.  When Kensi is busy, I cook.  When I am she cooks and we take turns in cleaning and doing laundry.  

"Kensi, have you finished?" I ask through the bathroom door.  When she doesn't answer I knock louder "Kensi" I call.  

I push the door open when there is still no reply.  I see her head slipping down into the bath as she has fallen asleep.  

I grab a towel "KENSI" I shout.  She splutters and goes underwater, coming up spluttering.

"I'll rip out this bath, Kensi if you fall asleep again" I warn her as I wrap her in the towel. 

I pull the plug and pick her up.  "How much sleep did you get?" I ask she blinks up at me and when I see her eyes shift off to the side.  I curse "you pulled another all nighter, again?" 

 I sit her on the bathroom counter and grab her robe.  I place it around her shoulders before putting my hands either side of her and staring into her eyes "who is it this time?" I ask

"I tried to keep it in.  I really did, but when he got the dates wrong, on the two reports by two main scientists" she says not finishing her sentence.  

"Professor Stick, again? What did he give you to do this time?" I ask 

"He told me I had to catalogue all of the science weekly reports for the last 10 years. With summaries added" she yawns.  

I curse again and then pick her up and carry her to her room.  

"You will sleep, I'll go and pick Pete up.  you will sleep until you wake up naturally" I instruct.  

"If you insist" she salutes trying to cheer me up.  

I shake my head as I put her in bed. 

"Sleep I'll dry your hair before I go" I assure her.  I return to the bathroom for the hair dryer and take a deep breath.  This has gone on long enough.  I think to myself.  Kensi is already asleep when I return to dry her hair.

I pick Pete up and tell him what has been going on with Kensi and some of her teachers.  He is just as pissed as me.  So, we spend the afternoon digging for information that will help us in our quest.  

"I'm in" Pete says and sits back in his chair.  

We are both sitting at the table with our laptops open.  I have called in some favours from some of my friends in security.  Pete has been trying to get into the universities staff files.
