"Louis, I promise, I'll be right back," Liam said before disappearing into the large crowd of drunk office workers. Louis nodded, confusion and anxiety bubbling within him as he watched his best friend, roommate, and the only person he knew at this party leave him alone.

"You don't look familiar," a deep voice uttered humorously. Louis turned around to face the person who spoke, expecting to see some random, old, slightly creepy guy in his fifties. Instead, he was met with a tall, gorgeous, curly brown-haired couldn't-be-older-than-thirty-five man with the jewel-toned eyes and drool-worthy body frame.

"I-um." Louis' brain short-circuited and he mentally hit himself in the face for his inability to form a coherent sentence. "I-I don't work here," he managed, mustering all of his strength to return the gorgeous Adonis' gaze.

He hummed, his eyes lighting up in amusement as he stared down at the unemployed twenty-four year old.

The silence was eating away at Louis, so he added, "Me roommate does, though. He brought me as a guest, said it would be lame for me to stay home. Also told me the view was a must-see."

The older man smiled, licked his lips, then bit his bottom lip. Louis felt his abdomen doing flips at the sight, arousal brewing in his gut.

"The view?" he asked, to which Louis excessively nodded. "Suppose it is quite nice to new eyes."

He took a step closer, their bodies now less than a forearm's length away.

"Find it boring, do you?" Louis asked, slightly amused and a little lost for words.

The office building was a skyscraper, reaching up to thirty stories. They were only on the twelfth floor, but Louis already found it mesmerizing staring out the large, wall-covering windows.

"How boring it must be to stare out at the skyline during your big city job, watching your bank account grow."

The man smirked and released an inaudible gasp. He shrugged, despite the tightening in his slacks. "I can show you the view from my office if you'd like," he offered, a half-smirk plastered on his lips, jaw locked. "My big city job gives me my own office. You know, so I can watch the money roll in..." He cocked his head ever so slightly, eyes darkening. "Alone."

Louis' heart skipped a beat and he felt his only pair of nice slacks tighten just enough to cause him to hold his breath.

"Couple stories up, much nicer than this one," he added, gesturing out the windows with a nod of his head. "Much less crowded."

Louis dropped his eyes to the floor to hide the slight pink blush on his cheeks. He bit his lip, sucked in a breath, and made eye contact.

"Well, are you going to show me then?"

The handsome man slowly swiped his tongue along his bottom lip, biting the side of his bottom lip afterwards. He turned around and started walking away, prompting Louis to follow right on his heels.

They took the elevator, the two making random small-talk about nothing at all for the few minutes it took to reach the twentieth. Which was a little pretentious, but Louis was willing to let it go for now.

He held the doors open for the shorter lad all the way to his large office, always allowing Louis to enter the room first before following close behind. Once they arrived at the room, Louis glanced at the 'CEO' tag on the door before being ushered inside, his breath immediately stripped from him as he stared out the massive floor-to-ceiling windows.
