Chapter 9

Brittany's POV

I went home that night in a daze. I couldn't believe that just happened to me. I couldn't get him off my mind. Everything I did, I was just going through the motions, not aware of anything that happened around me. I was so zoned out, that I didn't even tell my sister about it. And that was how the rest of my evening went.

the next day...

I woke up with a smile on my face. I looked at my clock. 10:45. Everybody else was probably already up. Then I remembered. I had to tell Samantha!

Samantha's POV

"Sammy Sammy Sammy Sammy Sammy!" Brittany yelled as she flung open the door to my room.

"What what what what what?" I said, mocking her.

She gave me a pouty face.. "Your mean" she said like a little kid.

I laughed. "Yea yea. So what were you going to say?" I asked.

Instantly her face lit up again. "You'll never guess what just happened to me yesterday!" She said sitting down beside me on my bed.

"Try me..." I said giving her a challenging look.

That was one thing that comes from having a sister. Everything was competition. We had a competition to see who got front seat in the car first, who got their shower in the morning first, even who was able to do the most chores around the house. Yea...that only happened once. It was all in good fun though.

"Ok three tries" she said.

I thought. "Someone gave you a free teddy bear"

She giggled. "No"

"You got to see the new movie that came out" I said.

"No" she answered.

"Ah...I know. You got a boyfriend." I said. "Wait never mind. That wouldn't happen"

"Hey! Again, mean." She said trying to act hurt by my words. In the end we both were laughing.

"Ok. No more guesses." She said. "I met Ross Lynch."

"Haha yea sure. No need to lie." I said giving her a "seriously?" look.

"Fine...believe me if you want. But I also got his number." She said.

"Prove it." I shot back at her. Now I know she's lying. He wouldn't just giver her his number.

"Ok. Fine" she said. She grabbed her phone, brought up his contact, hit the call button, and brought her phone up to her ear.

Ross's POV

I was currently sitting on my bed with my phone in my hand. I had been sitting like this for the past ten minutes.

"I need to call her. I have to see her again." I said to myself yet I still couldn't bring myself to press the call button.

Then my phone started ringing. I looked at the called ID. It was Brittany! I accepted the call and placed my phone up beside my ear.

"Hello?" She said.

"Hey Brittany! I was just about to call you. What's up?" I answered.

"Yea, I need a small favor. You see...my sister, Samantha, doesn't believe I met you last night. So, I'm gonna hand the phone to her and can you talk to her for a minute?" She asked.

"Ha ha. Sure!" I said

"Hello?" Another girl said. I'm assuming this was Samantha.

"Hey Samantha! It's Ross. How ha doin?" I said. Immediately after I said that I heard a loud bang. "Hello?" I asked, starting to get worried.

"Umm...hi" Brittany said. "Samantha just dropped my phone out of pure shock. The look on her face right now is priceless!"

I laughed. "I wish I could be there. Hey, my siblings and Ratliff are going to the beach today. Do you wanna come?" I asked hoping and praying she would say yes.

"Yea sure!" She said with excitement evident in her voice.

"Great! I'll text you my address and then you can come to my house and we'll all drive to the beach together. Ok?" I said.

"Sounds great! I'll see you soon! Bye!" She said.

"Bye!" I answered. I went to my messages and quickly texted her my address.

I can't wait until she gets here...!
