DAY 10
(10:32 p.m.)
"Blood and ashes, Jivrai! What happened?"
I looked up from the map on the desk as Evan walked in.
"It was already cracked," I said, brushing a hand against the bandage on my forehead." It'll grow back in a few days."
Evan looked furious for a moment, but his expression softened.
"Does it hurt?" He asked softly, his hand freezing above my shoulder.
He doesn't want to be near you...
"It'll be fine in the morning," I said, leaning back in my chair. I could still feel a slight throbbing in my forehead, but it wasn't as bad as before.
Evan let out a sigh and sat down on the bed.
"You're such a handful," he almost laughed as he shook his head.
My lips curled in a slight smile." That's what I keep you around for."
This time he laughed, and for one, so did I.
