I'm back home in New York it's been a long road but I could honestly say I'm doing better than I have been in a long time

I was at Ari's apartment Jayda gave me the address only Jayda and Baby knew I was home

I knocked for the third time waiting for an answer

"This better be fucking good"I heard her say making me chuckle

The door swung open and her mug instantly turned into a smile

"David"She said happily wrapping her arms around me I hugged her back tightly

"I missed you"I said kissing her forehead before we pulled apart

"I missed you too"She said closing and locking the door

"Where Kairi"I asked sitting down on the couch seeing Grand Army playing

"She sleep in my room we was taking a nap before the movies"She said sitting down next to me

"Ima go wake her up"I said getting up going to Ari's room

I walked in the room seeing her laid across the bed with her hair all over her face

"Kairi wake up"I said shaking her lightly

"I'm sleepy 5 more minutes"She said turning over

"So you don't wanna spend time with your daddy"I said making her head pop up

"Daddyyyyy"She said happily hoping in my arms

"Hey baby"I said hugging her kissing her cheek

"Ari I can't find my shoes"Kairi said walking in my bathroom

"Did you check under the bed"I asked fixing my hair

"No"She said walking out going to look under the bed Baby was throwing Dave a welcome home party so we were getting ready

"You look good"Dave said wrapping his arms around my waist

"Thank you you look good too"I said smiling

"Daddy help me with my shoes"Kairi said coming back into the bathroom

He let me go and went help her with her shoes

I sat my phone up on my ring light to take a picture

"Yes let me put my shoes on"I said grabbing my phone and lip gloss going into my room

"Go play with the kids we gone ne right here"I told Kairi she looked at them then let my hand go

"My baby glowing"Tae said cheesing hard as hell

"As I should"I said smiling flipping my hair over my shoulder

"Where Jayda"I asked looking around

"She over there talking to some girl"He said pointing over to a group of girls

I just nodded I grabbed a red cup pouring some patron and lemonade in it

"They look so happy"Nicki said pointing at Dave and Kairi

I just smiled because where was all of these folks when Dave was going through it didn't nobody go vist him either

"Aye baby come here"Dave said waving me over

I walked over to him he grabbed my arm and spun me in a circle

"I got the baddest bitch in here on crip"He said making me smile

"Sure do"Some dude said making Dave scrunch his face

"Clown"He mumbled putting his attention on me and Kairi

"Y'all ready to go"He asked

"Yes I'm sleepy"Kairi said laying her head on his shoulder

"Yeah we could go"I said grabbing my purse and keys from behind Dave

"We finna head out thank yall I appreciate it"He said to everybody

"I'll text you when I get home"Jayda said I nodded before walking out

She's been quiet all night

"I'm so sleepy"I said climbing in my bed next to Dave

"You and me both"He said pulling me closer to him I laid my head on his chest listening to his heart beating

"I missed you so much"I said tracing his tattoos

"I missed you too"He said kissing my forehead

I looked up seeing the door open

"Scoot over"Kairi said climbing in the bed

She makes her way in my bed every night

We laughed before scooting over she laid in between us

"I love you guys"She said before closing her eyes
