Chapter 28: Hosu Aftermath & Memorial Pond

3rd POV:

Soon after All Might arrived the ambulances for Native and Iida arrived. All Might asked what happened and Izuku started to explain the situation to All Might who luckily didn't have to run and hide due to the time limit since he saved it all day and only used an hour to so for all the fighting and moving around. All might was not happy at all on what he heard on what Iida did. Soon they both headed towards the hospital after talking a bit more. Izuku was informed by one of the officers that the chief of police for Hosu was going to be waiting for Izuku at the hospital to get a statement of the entire event in regards to stain. The media was hounding the hospital already since they heard All Might was in the city and was involved in the city but they also heard about Stain being captured and were wondering what happened in regards to that. As they pushed forward through the reporters Izuku turned to them and make a quick statement. "In regards to the events with Stain, the police will release a statement soon but I will confirm my involvement. Due to the nature of the case, I will leave all other details of what will be released in regards to the police chief of Hosu." Izuku said as he turned around and walked away. The reporters were happy with that and stepped back and waited for the police chief to come out since they knew he was already inside the building.

Izuku walked in and was greeted by the police chief. "Thanks for calming them down. THough can you give me the details of what happened Woof?" asked the chief. Izuku leads him into a private room where he started to explain everything from UA's suspicion of their student stupidity and Izuku following along up to the Nomu's where Iida ran away from his mentor. Izuku then explained how he got to the site and what he saw. "I'm unable to provide details before I arrived on what happened but I think it's clear he went for revenge but failed like a young idiot," Izuku said and then kept talking about everything else that happened and how he tried to get the two victims out before Stain stopped him. Izuku did talk about how Iida tried to be an idiot and attack after the effects of stain quirk came off but Izuku stopped him. All Might rolled his eyes at the young boy's stupid mistakes. The police chief said that the student could be charged with a lot of crimes if they went after him. 

"Chief I know you could and should go after him. However, I ask that you let UA deal with him. He is still bright but was just blind by revenge. UA still had over two years to correct him before he graduates and he could become an amazing hero. UA would ensure he is punished though if you are willing to ignore this incident today. In regards to the involvement of people and the story, you can say stain attacked a hero and a hero student but was stopped by myself which is true. You can include other details but keep his name out of it and only identified him as a hero student." Izuku said. All Might agreed with the plan and asked the chief to go with it. The chief thought for a few moments and agreed. "Let's go give him a scare for his life and then I'll let him go." stated the chief. Soon they headed and arrived at Iida's room and gave him a scare of his life. 

The chief walked in with Izuku and All Might. Iida was with his brother who was in this hospital and the family as well. "Iida the police chief is here for you. I suggest you shut up and listen really carefully." Izuku said and Iida nodded his head. The chief started to speak about the list of crimes that they had on him and the family looked pale. Iida's older brother smacked Iida in the head and told him he was an idiot and they never wanted him to do this. Iida looked up after the police chief finished. "Am... am I going to prison?" Iida asked with some tears down his face. The family tensed up at that and looked at the police chief, Izuku, and All Might who didn't have smiles on their face. Izuku looked at the chief who nodded. Izuku then spoke. "Iida, do you think you shouldn't?" Izuku asked. Iida was silent for a few moments before he spoke and agreed that he should since he did what he did. "Indeed you should but you won't be today. Don't take mine, All Might's, and the chief's mercy for granted ever! You will walk away from this without going to prison but make no mistake that is the end of the mercy. You will be punished harshly by UA which includes but is not limited to probation, possible suspension for some time, or other things. I can say for sure you will be on probation likely and everything else will be decided in a staff meeting between myself, All Might, Aizawa, and Nezu. Do you understand?" Izuku asked with a glare and Iida bowed his head and said he understood.
