Today she sat across her mirror observing her body,
She saw her round stomach wishing it were slimmer,
She observed her thighs, her legs, and her face.
She sat there wishing upon someone else's beauty instead of her own.
From her hair to her toes,
She sat there judging what she saw in front of her.
She then asked her heart what her body needed.
Her body didn't want food or water,
What her body wanted is what we all needed,
Her body wanted her to love herself the way she was,
But she couldn't do that if she kept wishing she was someone she was not.

HER BODY
PoesieThis a poem about body positivity and how you should love who you are. We all have insecurities but we need to realize that our body is what we came in. It is our home and we should love and protect it.
