Lilies blowing gently in the cool breeze

Carnations beaming in unique colors

How I wonder why they all have to freeze

Winter is cold, and the view much duller

Tree tops stretch towards the now greying sky

Lovely petals tip down to say farewell

The earth is stiff as steel, and I ask why

The frost hits quickly, I'd wish I'm in hell

Noises and sights mean nothing to me now

Something is bizarre with the season's change

Life is altering and I don't know how

Worlds around me are divergent and strange

Stems are touched by the ghastly hands of frost

Ice corrupts some, and all hopes are lost
