The questions explode in my head
Will I survive to your haunting eyes?
Will I be able to tell you how I feel?
Will you stay here if I ask you to?
I'm always meticulous about things
Things like these, love-related topics
I try to be cautious about my heart
While you take risks all the time
The question explodes on my lips
And I ask you for a talk in the yard
Taylor sips the wine in her cupful
Tells us she's gonna sleep, it's a lie
We both know she's gonna write more
But she knows I have something to do
She senses when you are in love
And she gives the right space for you
It's been a cold September night
And all of the leaves up on the trees
Are starting to fall on the ground
And I fall for you while you're here
So, live well, handsome, live well
Before my feelings make you run away
So, live well, handsome, live well
I hope you stay after my sentence
You put your arms right around me
On our way to the dark backyard
And I know I'm already in trouble
I think of it every time you touch me
Your comfort smile is everything
Everything I need to speak my truth
Fill my lungs with the deepest air
"Jack, I think I have feelings for you"
It was the most romantic words I said
In a very long time for someone else
You take a step back, cross your fingers
And take a letter from your pocket
"I've been planning this for the last week
But now you just ruined my speech
'Cause I have feelings for you, too
Aaron, you're a mystery, it's true"
It's been a cold September night
And all of the leaves up on the trees
Are starting to fall on the ground
And I fall for you while you're here
So, speak now, handsome, speak now
Before the feelings make us run away
So, speak now, handsome, speak now
I hope these butterflies don't go away
Taylor and William took a bedroom
Me and you, another king-sized bed
Stripped emotions, light of the moon
Stripped clothes, you hold my neck
One kiss is all it takes to fall for you
One touch is all it takes to want you
And all at once, my dreams come true
And all at once, you're melting for me
Scary stories told in the dark room
But they're not stories about myths
The only folklore here is our fears
The only myth here is our monsters
Laying down my defenses for you
Laying down your body next to mine
I hold you close so I won't lose you
To the morning or to the sunrise
It's been a cold September night
And all of the leaves up on the trees
Are starting to fall on the ground
And I fall for you while you're asleep
So, sleep well, handsome, sleep well
Before we wake up and run away
So, sleep well, handsome, sleep well
I hope you stay once you're awake
I say, "sleep well, handsome Jack"
You say, "sleep well you, too, Aaron"
I say "sleep well, handsome Jack"
You say, "sleep well you, too, Aaron"
I say "sleep well, handsome Jack"
You say, "sleep well, handsome Aaron"
I say "sleep well, handsome"—
You say, "sleep well, handsome"—
