Off-putting

Pink felt unease in her stomach as she disembarked, the other crewmates insisted she stay on the ship but she wasn't about to be treated like a injured pup. Green stood beside her, equally off put by the environment. As everyone spread out to do their tasks pink looked to green and pulled up her pda, seeing her first task was... Get snack, strange. Must be something they put in recently. (Note, I know theirs no vending task in polus) Pink let out a small laugh, Green leaning down,

"What's funny? I wanna laugh too"
Pink waved dismissedly,

"It's nothing, I need to find a vending machine". Green raised an eyebrow, but shrugged and grabbed her hand gently, pulling up a map, and leading them to the admin, where weirdly enough, they had installed a new vending machine. It was stocked with unfamiliar food items, and she landed on getting some generic potato chip brand, checking the task off her list.

Pink and Green wandered for a good bit, the huge base was partially confusing and the tasks seemingly convoluted, it was when they took a turn into storage. Jessica was sitting on the floor, quietly sobbing, her father nowhere in sight. Pink rushed over and kneeled beside her,

"Jessica? Honey? Where's your dad?" Jessica looked up, her helmet foggy from the crying,

"Dad told me to wait here.. But it's been forever.. I'm scared and it's cold!" She bursted into more tears and pink held her close, patting her back,

"There there, we'll help you find your dad" she gently lifted Jessica up, wrapping the child's legs around her waist much like how purple would normally hold her, making sure to use her good arm. She held onto Pink like she'd dissapear if she didn't.
Green looked perplexed, this was completely out of character for Purple to do. There must have been something cataclysmicly wrong for him to leave Jessica alone in here.
Pink turned to Green,

"where do you think he went?" Green shrugged, but the worry in his stomach didn't fade. Something was not right.

Jessie had finally stopped crying, but still occasionally sniffled as pink and green looked around, trying to find where Purple could have gone. They had to be careful, this planet was known for having a few strange anomalies, and safety was their top priority right now. Pink paused outside of the laboratory.. She could hear a squelching noise..
"Jessica, cover your eyes honey"
Jessica covered her eyes as pink looked around the corner, she covered her mouth as to not scream.
Yellow was dead. And she knew what this meant.
There is an imposter among us.
