*Sixteen Years later*

Leo’s POV

“Mijo! Wake up!” My mother shouts at me as she bangs on my door

I sit up and sigh. “Why couldn’t we be born on a Holiday where people actually got the day off?” I complain as I struggle from escaping the grasp of my multiple blankets

I twist and turn so much I fall off the bed. “Goin’ down!” I shout then hit the floor

“Leo?!” My mom cries

“I’m okay!” I call

I get up and search through my clothes, hoping the Bring Me The Horizon shirt and black skinny jeans I picked were clean. I change my boxers, put on deodorant, put on mismatching socks, find a beanie for my hair and find my black Vans. I rush out of my room, trying to get to the bathroom-the only bathroom before my twin brother does. I smirk and try opening the door, only to realize it’s locked. “Fuck!” I hiss under my breath

"You snooze, you lose!” I hear Gio laugh from the other side of the door

“Yeah, yeah, yeah just hurry it up!” I shout at him

“What if I don’t wanna?”

“Don’t make me throw out all your books again.”

“You’re bluffing.”

“Am I? Or am I really just walking over to your room?”

“Leo!”

“Yeeesss?”

“Please don’t! I’m still missing pages from one of my favorites!”

“Then you have ten minutes to hurry it up.”

“Ten minutes? But I just got in here!”

“Too bad.”

And sure enough ten minutes later, the baby walks out of the bathroom in his favorite black Bat Man shirt and black skinny jeans. “Didn’t you just wear that shirt Monday?” He asks me

“Who are you? The fashion police?”

“Maybe I am.”

“Just get out, baby.”

“I’m sixteen today. You really gotta stop calling me that.”

“Yeah, well I am older.”

“By fifteen minutes!”

“Best fifteen minutes of my life.”

I walk into the bathroom and close the door in his face. “Good luck straightening your hair without the iron!” I hear him sing

I look around for it. “Oh, you little shit.” I hiss

It really became a beanie day. I walk to the kitchen to see my mom made me French Toast and Gio rainbow pancakes. “Thanks mom.” We tell her at the same time

We glare at each other. “Boys…” Mom warns us

“Sorry.” We say at the same time again

We sit down and start eating. After we eat mom walks in with our presents. Both wrapped and looking ready to open. “For you.” She hands the thin and light one to me “And you.” She says as she hands the other to Gio

I open mine to find a new sketch pad and Gio has four new journals. “It’s not much, but-”

“No mom, it’s perfect.” Gio assures her

“Yeah, mom thanks.” I tell her

We kiss her on the cheek and she smiles. “Well go get your backpacks! It’s almost time for school.” She announces
