Nurse: * makes a hospital band for ava, gives it to Kouvr* please take a seat you will be called back shortly
Kouvr: okay thank you * puts the band around ava's wrist, sits in the waiting room with alex*
10 minutes later
Nurse 2: Ava Warren
3: * goes back with the nurse*
room 7
nurse: what seems to be the problem
Alex: she has been throwing up and she has a fever of 105.7
Nurse: * takes ava's temperature* it's now 106.3 that is way too high ill be right back *leaves the room, gets some medicine and some iv stuff, goes back the room* alright im going to put in an iv * sets the stuff down* alright ava im going to use some cold stuff on your hand okay
Ava: otay * really sick and tired*
Nurse: * cleans off ava's hand* alright now there will be a small stick
Ava: otay
Nurse: * quickly puts in the iv*
Ava: * starts crying*
Kouvr: * holding ava* it's okay it's okay
Nurse: * injects the fever reducer and the medicine to help stop the vomiting* * connects the iv to a saline drip* alright the doctor will be in soon * leaves the room*
Ava: i wate ( hate) wis ( this)
Kouvr: i know baby * holds ava againest her chest*
Alex: * feels really bad for ava*
Kouvr: * feels a warm feeling on her arm* are you wet
ava: * nods her head*
Kouvr: babe i need the diaper bag
Alex: * hands Kouvr the diaper bag*
Kouvr: * lays ava on the bed in front of her, unbottens the onesie, changes ava's diaper*
Alex: * throws the dirty diaper away*
Kouvr: * starts holding ava againest her chest again*
20 minutes later
Doctor: * comes into the room* hello
kouvr: hello doctor
Doctor: what brings you in at this time of night
Kouvr: well she was throwing up and when we checked her temperature at home it was 105.7 but when the nurse checked it it was 106.3
Doctor: oh that is very concerning i want to run some tests on her
Kouvr: okay
Doctor: ill send in a nurse to do some blood tests
Kouvr: okay
Doctor: alright a nurse will be in shortly * leaves the room*
Kouvr: god im tired
Alex: yeah i am too
10 mintues later
Nurse: * comes into the room* Hello im nurse susan doctor nicole send me to do some blood tests on this little munchkin
Ava: * scared, curls up againest kouvr's chest*
Nurse: i wont hurt you little one it will just be a little stick and it will be all over * cleans off a spot on ava's other hand, gets the blood that she needs for the tests* alright test reults should be here in an hour * leaves the room*
1 hour later
Doctor: * comes into the room* her test results show nothing i think all she needs is rest a nurse will be in to take out the iv then you are free to go home
Kouvr: okay
10 minutes later
Nurse: * comes into the room, takes out the iv* you guys are free to go
Alex: * gets up , picks up the diaper bag*
Kouvr: * gets up, still holding ava*
Outside
Kouvr: * buckles ava into her carseat*
alex: im so tired
Kouvr: i think we all are
