Troll and Steel

The Sparrow scouts

"Ow! Hey!" Said a young boy with pale white skin , grey hair , black pants and black vest over a white shirt , as a stone was thrown at him

He heard snickers from a nearby bush and as he approached it the ones in it appeared

"Get away monster!" Said Trevor trying to insult the boy

The boy saw Trevor, his friends and a new face , a blue haired girl , probably new to the city based on her surprised expression

"Ugh Trevor" said the boy angrily before taking a deep breath "calm down Aaron , you know what'll happen if you attack him , his insults aren't even that clever , pay it no mind"

Aaron just walked away trying to ignore everything

"Yeah! Run away troll!" Said Trevor smiling

This got Hilda to ask some questions

"Sometimes I feel like their insults are getting more and more bland" said Aaron "and let's hope that new girl leaves them before I have another idiot on my hands"

He walked to the library , his home , yes he lives in a library as if it couldn't get any worse

"Are you okay Aaron?" Asked the librarian Kaisa

"I'm fine" said Aaron as he went to get a random book to read

Aaron was half human half steel troll , with sunlight he looks human without it he gains metallic skin and a slightly longer nose, enough to be noticable , and and if push comes to shove a full steel troll form , though it's very exausting, a metallic skin that only a certain type of trolls have , steel trolls , extinct because of how precious their metal was

And one things he got from this was a lot of free time , no human wants to hang out with him , and due to being half a steel troll he only sleeps one night a week , so he has tons upon tons of free time

So reading random books was not an odd sight for the librarian to see , even disappearing for days at time was normal

"Ugh that dumb parade is coming up ,and it's gonna get noisy" said Aaron tiredly as he stopped reading through his book to look through the window too see people preparing for the great raven parade "I'll just get out of the city , maybe work on my project and come back when this blows over"

So after finishing the random book he walked out of the library and went to the wall with a few books

A few days passed , thankfully the librarian knows he can take care of himself

and as the sun was rising Aaron was walking towards the wall , he waved to some creatures here and there that he meets on his way to and from his "project"

He went under the wall through the vittra tunnels , not wanting anyone to know he went in or out of the city

And although humans hate him , he's on friendly terms with most other creatures , so the vittra don't even blink when he passes through their tunnels

He got out of the tunnel and sat on the ground leaning onto the wall and started reading one of the books he brought with him

That was until 3 sparrow scouts appeared at his location

"Looks like nobody set foot here in years" said David as he pushed the cart

"Nobody human anyway" said Hilda as she walked towards the wall "so this wall is supposed to keep back the trolls?"

"Most of them yes" said Aaron as he stared at one of his books

"Aaaaah!" Screamed David as he jumped back in surprise before calming down but his was was still shakey as he backed away "when did you get here?"
