"Why not?"
"I already told you why, Y/N," said the Avatar of Pride as he sat down in his chair.
"You did," the (h/c)-ette replied, his (e/c) eyes looking directly at the demon's red ones.
"And?"
"I won't accept it."
Lucifer pinched the bridge of his nose and looked away from the (h/c)-haired male who was at his side.
"My answer is no. That's my final say on the matter."
Y/N sighed and backed away from Lucifer's chair, making the Avatar of Pride look his way. He could see determination swimming in those (e/c) orbs.
"Why don't you give up?" The demon muttered, thinking he said it to himself.
But, Y/N heard it.
"Lucifer."
"What is it?"
"You may be the Avatar of Pride and...your actions clearly don't convey how you really feel, so..."
Lucifer awaited Y/N's next words, curious to hear what he said to say.
"No matter what, I'll get you to say 'I love you'! I'll get you to swallow your pride and tell me how you really feel!"
The demon's eyes widened, seeing a determined grin on the (h/c)-ette's face. A smirk then tugged at his lips.
"I would like to see you try."

And so, Y/N spent some time thinking about what he could do to get the demon to spill out his real feelings. So, he found himself going to the Demon Lord's Castle. He knocked on the door, hearing a 'come in' from the other side.
He opened the door and was greeted by Barbatos. "Oh. Y/N."
"Hey, Barbatos."
Barbatos stepped aside to let Y/N in, soon greeted by the future King of the Devildom.
"What brings you here, Y/N?"
"You know Lucifer well, don't you, Diavolo?"
Diavolo smiled. "You could say that. Why?"
"Having trouble with Lucifer, Y/N?" Barbatos asked, pouring Diavolo some tea.
"Yeah, something like that," he replied with a sigh, sitting down, "He didn't happen to tell you anything, would he?"
Diavolo had a knowing smile on his face. "I might know something. Why?"
"I'm trying to get him to admit that he loves me."
