You sat up against the wall in Riot's bed, playing with his dreads as his head laid on your lap. It was around 2:23 AM, it said so on the bright red alarm clock. The only source of light were the string lights and the moon shining through the large window.

"Hey Riot, what's your real name?" you swirled his hair with your fingers. He let out a soft breath.  "It's Liam." he softly spoke with his eyes closed. "I don't really like it tho, I only use it around people who don't know that I work for Anonymous." he explained with his tired raspy voice.

"Okay." you softly smiled, continuing to fiddle with his hair. "Whats your family like?" he suddenly asked, keeping his eyes closed. You thought for a moment before opening your mouth to speak. "My parents are super protective. My dad is a firefighter and my moms a nurse.." you smiled at the thought of them.

"Tell me more." you saw his lips perk up at the corners. "I have an older brother, only by like 4 years tho.." you continued. "Shit, is he scary?" he let out a light laugh. "Nah, even if he's a couple years older than you he's still shorter." you giggled.

You decided it was your turn to ask a question. "What about you?" you looked down at him, hoping the question was okay. "Well, my parents were always a bit distant up until I was about 15, then they began taking more interest in me after I got my first girlfriend." he furrowed his eyebrows ever so slightly.

You lifted your eyebrows a bit. "Well, what was she like?" you asked innocently. "Not very pleasant. I hate to speak ill of people I know but she did some stuff the wasn't exactly acceptable in my eyes." he let out a sigh. "What about siblings?" you continued to twirl his dreads, watching his closed eyes soften.

"I have a younger sister, she means a lot to me." his worried expression immediately shifted to a happy and caring one. You could tell he meant it. You sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before something began bugging you.

Oh shit.  You suddenly realised that you hadn't contacted anyone since the protest due to your phone being kicked away in the crowd. You began to panic, remembering that you texted your brother the day before informing him of what you were doing and then going radio silent for a whole week.

Riot could tell something was wrong. "You okay?" he opened his eyes to look at you. "I- I haven't told anyone Im safe, I lost my phone at the first protest." You frantically explained, trying not to shake his head. "I told my brother I was going and then didn't text back, he's probably worried sick." you tried to calm down the feeling of guilt you were burrowing.

"Hey its okay, what's his number? We can call him from my phone." he finally suggested. "Thank you Riot." you let out a breath a he slowly stood up to go fetch his phone.

He returned to the room less than a minute later, chucking you his beaten up iPhone 6. It was already unlocked so you went to type in your brothers number straight away. You dialled it.

"Hello?" his voice came through the phone's speaker.

"Hi Asa, its Y/N." you braced yourself for the fit he was about to throw.

"Oh my god, are you okay? Are you hurt? Where the fuck are you??" He practically screamed into the receiver.

"I'm so sorry, I lost my phone at the protest. The city is still locked off so I'm staying with uh.. a friend." You tried to cover up your nervousness but it wasn't really working.

"Jesus, okay I'm coming to get you now, I'm with Braxton." you heard him typing on the phone screen as your eyes widened. "Send me your location. Now."
