~ the rise of the secret soldiers part two ~

three weeks later

"you've got to be careful, jenna. if you don't cover that side, the enemy is easily going to be able to knock you out."

"i'm trying, it's just, the pressure and-"

"you shouldn't feel pressured, okay? you're trying, and that's what matters. it took me years to get as skilled as i am now. just, take it easy, take as much time as you need-"

valerie balderas was interrupted when a familiar noise began to play.

"hey, douglas, could you go get mister davenport and leo?"

"uh, yeah," the older man set down the tablet he was using when he noticed who was calling.

once the elevator doors closed, chris got rid of his laser-bo and quickly answered.

after a few moments of the president asking the blonde how her training was going, mister davenport, leo, and douglas finally arrived.

"davenport, a high-security military base was breached, and communications equipment was stolen."

"i'm sorry to hear that, sir. do you need some of my tracking technology?"

"no, i need valerie and chris...and hopefully adam, bree and chase."

"i can send the twins but, with all due respect, sir, they dissolved the team."

"look, our national safety is far more important than a squabble between besties. the vice president and i are going through that right now. drama! phew. fix this, and get them back on the job."

"yes, mister president."

"and if adam-"

"just stop before you embarrass yourself," val grabbed onto leo's arm, making the president laugh.

"thanks, kid. as awful as things are right now, it feels good to laugh."

"let go," leo smacked val with his free hand, resulting in a cat fight of some sorts.

"where's donnie?"

"probably out trolling the streets for a new set of bionic kids to control."
