Alright, I made a book like this a long time ago but deleted it. So now I'm going to make it a one shot. And pretty different. Please enjoy.

I sighed as I got out of my car, sweating from the black shirt and black pants in the LA heat. Straightening my shirt, I stepped in the huge garage door. The AC hit my face, while a few people turn to face me. The first guy was tall blonde, while sky blue eyes. His hair was cut close on the sides, with a taller top. He was rummaging through a bag while talking to a darker skinned with gold eyes. Her hair was a golden halo around her. Their heads snapped to me at the sound of my boots hitting the concrete.

There was a guy who came out from behind the truck, a bigger guy with a buzz cut. He was wiping his hands on a towel, then threw the towel at the guy behind him, who was a little Latino with a mischievous grin. " Can I help you?"

" I'm looking for Captain Shire?" I answered.

" Are you the new guy? Perseus Jackson?" The buzz cut asked.

I nodded, " Percy, sir."

" Captain's up in his office, I'm Jason," The blond came over, his hand extended, " Welcome to the 117."

I nodded, shook his hand and then carried on. After climbing the steps in the back of the station, I walked into the office after hearing a come in. Standing in front of the desk, I stood with my arms linked behind my back. " Hello, sir."

" Jackson! I'm glad to have you on my team, son." It took every ounce of my power not wince when he called me son, " When I heard about your military experience I knew you were a perfect fit."

" Thank you, Captian Shire." I nodded.

" Please, it's Chiron." He clapped me on the shoulder, then motioned outside his office, " I'll give you the quick rundown, I'm sure you know what it's like, it's like every other firehouse in the nation."

" Yes, sir." I nodded. Then followed him out.

" Still in military mode, son?" He asked jokingly. Chiron was a middle aged man, with grays peaking through his brown hair. He had a bit of a beard, but was mostly clean shaven.

" I suppose so, sir." I answered back. I wasn't like this before my tour. I used to get a lot of extra push ups because I couldn't keep my mouth shut. Now when it's my shift or my tour, I shape up and make sure no one gets hurt. My crew is more important than any sarcastic comment.

" But come on," Chiron said, " You got to meet the rest of the 117."

" I met Jason, sir." I answered.

" He's a fine man. He's our medic. Along with Hazel." He pointed me to the girl with the frizzy afro that was tied in a bun.

" That is Leo and Frank. And then everyone else isn't here yet." Chiron concluded.

" Seems like a fine team." I smiled.

The man smiled at me, then looked around, " Frank! Can you show Jackson around?"

" Sure." The burly guy came over, he seemed nice enough. He looked like he could bench press me, though.

" Now, if you excuse me, I have some paper work to finish. Perseus. Frank." The captain smiled and started to walk away when I stoped him.

" Percy." I corrected.

" What?" Chrion was confused.

" Call me, Percy, sir." I explained. He smiled and nodded, then walked back to his office. My eyes followed him up the stairs, then to his office.

" I'm Frank Zhang." The guy extended his hand out to me, then waited an awkward five seconds before I shook his hand. I could see his ears redden as he turned around, I smirked.
