Scars, is that a cool word, a word that means pain, a word that shows weakness, or one that shows strength. We shouldn't feel forced to hide our battle scars unless we want to, thats our choice. So if you want to wear that really cool T-shirt you just bought do it, if you want to wear those cute short shorts, do it. Please life is to short for us to be worried about how a stranger passing by might perceive you. On the other hand if it isn't safe for you to do that, don't but please know that they aren't something to be ashamed of, and please don't continue to make more.
