"Nothing is happening between me and Quigley" I say confidently

"Mhm" she hums as if she doesn't believe me

"Yea yea yea we're here already come on" I say as I stop the bike right in front of the bike rack and pull out the bike lock from my bag

We got our ice cream and walked out to see Richie playing some instruments he stole from a band player that were having a parade in the street

"What the fuck dude" said Richie as he threw his hands in the air when the player took it back

"Come on Richie" I said pulling him away by the back of his shirt from the musician

"What you guys looking at?" I asked as I see them look at the alley wall

"Missing posters" said Duncan as he looks at them

"Have they found some kids?" Asked Isadora as she sees the posters

"No" said Quigley as he sees some of them have been from months ago

"Well I'd- * looks at watch see's that it's almost the time my mom gets home. Then remembered me and Richie had to make dinner* oh shoot! Um Richie we gotta go um isadora can ride on Stanley's bike home. I'm sorry but we really have to go.......bye!" I say frantically riding away on my bike

Once a block away while we're riding down the street

"What was that all about?!" Said Richie riding next to me

"Moms going to be home soon and we have to cook dinner." I say as i speed up

"Shit your right let's hurry." Said Richie as he speeds up as well

"No brainer" I say

-time skip-

We're in the kitchen after we washed our hands and now we got the ingredients to make quesadillas out of the fridge

"Ok so you hand me the tortilla and then the cheese" I say as I turn on the stove

"Ok" he said handing me the stuff

20 mins later we had three quesadillas

"Perfect" I say backing away looking at our hard work

"Done!" Yelled Richie coming with a pitcher full of lemonade

"Great job y/n." Richie says as he sets the pitcher on the table

"It was teamwork we did it" I said hugging him

Then the door opened. It was our mom. She looked exhausted. She had her makeup smudged her hair was a bit of a mess. She had bags under her eyes and she had a half done cigarette in her mouth.

"Hello mom" I say quietly

"Shut up did you make dinner!?!" She yelled

"Y-y-yes" I say as I push Richie behind me

"Good take your food to your room you brats then go to sleep!" She yelled

So we did as we grabbed our plates and cups of lemonade and went to our shared room.

After we finished eating we started studying because Richie had homework to do over vacation since he failed math

"Ok what's the square root of 49?" I quizzed Richie

"9?" He says as he looks like he's thinking

"Nooooo!" I say as i flop face first on the bed

"It's 7" I say as my answer is muffled by the bed

"We need help y/n" said Richie as he looks at me

Fricking square rooting is hard

"Your right" I say as I get up off the bed and fix my hair

"Let's go to eddies" Richie suggests

"Ok" i say as I shrug

We changed our clothes and packed out small duffel bags as we then opened the window and hopped out after we turned off all the lights in our room. We walk to the side of the house as we grab our bikes and ride them to eddie's house.
