Chapter 3 the news

Third POV
It's been almost an hour the waves crashed louder and stronger making shellington snuggle much closer,
Barnacles flushed with rose red blush,
"I-i'm sorry.."
Shellington whined,
"Hey it's okay shellington I understand,"
He soon said softly cupping shellington in an embrace, giving a sort of comfort to shellington.

But not long after tweak had entered the room to ask captain something,

Tweaks POV
I walked in on shellington and barnacles...snuggled up in one blanket looking oh so comfy..
I felt some sort of rage in me for some reason..was I..jealous??
No that can't be, I know that shellington has a fear of waves.
I walk out of the room apologizing and walking straight to the kitchen in a rage of anger and jealousy.
As I walked in I accidentally ran into tunip, tunip chirped and I just tilted my head not understanding what they are saying
"I'm sorry tunip I have no clue what you are saying,"
They just smiled softly and gave me a carrot then left,
....alone. Atlast...
I ate my carrot with the wrath of jealousy, questioning,
"Why would they cuddle?? And In barnacles room.."
I thought of many reasons
But the word "dating" haunted me.
I sighed and got up walking to barnacles room and checking up on them since it was almost morning, but I soon stopped immediately my heart dropped and broke as I saw both shellington AND barnacles kissing?!
I wanted to scream but I ran out and quickly hid down in my room, I had a small tear form,
I liked captain too..

Ever since I have joined the octonouts barnacles has been SUPER kind and pleasant with everyone I couldn't help but fall in love..

I just laid in bed cuddling my pillow,
I had an ache he never liked me back..well I obviously new that from last year..

Last year's incident

As the octo alert went off an announcement was soon said
"Octonouts- t-to..err..the HQ,"
Everyone thought it was a pretty big emergency since captain never stuttered in his own words,
Everyone soon made it too the HQ under 5 minutes all were panting and huffing..accept kwazii and tweak.
Soon everyone noticed how odd captain B was acting, his ears were down and he was looking down at his feet as if he has done a crime, silence..
It was very silent and it concerned everyone,
"Aye cap'n, are you alright Matie??"
Barnacles had no answer and stayed absolutely silence as he thought of something to say.
"Captain?"
Soon the Scottish otter walked up to barnacles and put his paw on his shoulder, his ears soon perked up as barnacles grabbed a note from his pocket and passed it too kwazii, and walked away,
Kwazii reads the note as his face had a change of expression, all looked confused on why he seemed happy,
"Aye aye you maties! Our cap'n chose the lost colourful side yet! And the thing he's been holding in for the longest...he's gay!"
He said in a supporting tone with a hint of a story way,
Everyone gasped as tweak had an ache in her heart,
"JUMPIN JELLYFISH!!"
As everyone looked at shellington he continues his saying
"We need to throw a surprise and congratulations party! This is a big thing!!...it's captain we are talking about!!"
Shellington said seemingly happy
Tweak just agreed as everyone roared excitedly, planning things like gifts a flag confetti and so much more,
"What about..one of us calls him in when we finish the party,"
Tweak suggested as she sat there,
"Yes!"
Professor inking replied as he had a soft smile,
"Well?? What are we waiting for Matie's let's go!!"
Kwazii said flipping out to get the supplies,

Professor inkling's POV

I went to go check up on barnacles who has ran off too..somewhere..I soon found him hiding in my library, behind a few books I had forgotten to put away,
I hear silent sobs, and sniffles, it's practically my second time hearing him cry..
I pat his shoulder with my tentacle, he faced me quickly, soft fur with a few damp lines
"Your in distress barnacles,"
He sighed with a small response
"I'm sorry I cowardly came out.."
He apologized which just broke my heart...my..8 hearts...
"You don't need to apologize, everyone supports you, they are your friends you've known for.. YEARS now, and that was the most bravest thing you have done..besides encounter a shark and running away from it with a fish biscuit, but that's a different story"
"Thank you.."
Barnacles chuckled as he gave me a warm embrace, I don't know how long we were like this but it was long enough for kwazii to walk in,
"Okay so we go— oh.."
Kwazii paused at the sight of the two of us, sighing he joined us in our warm embrace. Kwazii whispered to me asking what happened and I responded
"He. Had a mental break down."

"Awe..poor cap'n.."
He said sighing and whispering one more thing
"We are almost done..just 6 more minutes"
He said getting up and leaving.

"Dad?,"
Barnacles said to me quickly catching my attention, I would never forget the way I found him,
"Yes dewdrop?"
I replied with an soft voice tone,
"What's going on outside the with the crew?"
He asked with a recourse of curiosity
Before I was even able to answer the octo alert went off making barnacles jump up and quickly see what's going on,

Barnacles POV
It was dark..not even a souls to be seen in the waters for Pete sakes, what was even happening?
I walk around hearing my own footsteps, until I accidentally stepped on something making lights and confetti turn on,

"SURPISE!!!"
Everyone yelled out as I jumped back a little from surprise, what was happening
As professor comes from behind
"We support you dewdrop"
He said with a reassuring smile, I felt tears roll from my eyes down, as I smiled let out a chuckle
"Wow, thanks a lot you guys, I didn't even know you guys would actually support."
I said sighing,
No one's POV

"Well of course matie why wouldn't we?!"
Kwazii said with big confidence
"Ye-yeah! It does not matter who you are you are our captain...and friend & father figure!!"

Peso said happily and softly
Everyone almost started hugging immediately,

"Welll~ I may have brought something for this celebration party"
Dashi said as she pulled out atleast 4 bottles of peppermint vodka,
Everyone almost chuckled as dashi started pouring a drink for everyone in a red cup,
As everyone cheered barnacles smiled feeling very appreciated,

Everyone almost started drinking as a few others were grabbing snacks
As two hours go by practically everyone besides professor and tweak we're drunk, everyone talked terribly, tweak wasn't paying attention to anything, not until Everyone was whooing and whistling loudly,
Tweaks heart sank as he saw both shellington and barnacles making out on the table,
She just teared up grabbing a bottle of peppermint vodka and chugging it to forget everything..

Soon..

Everyone pass out.

Besides inking ....

•The next day•

Barnacles woke up to almost every place hurting, unsure of what even happened yesterday he got dressed. Surprisingly he was already in his room.
He gets up practically in P A I N as he wonders into the HQ,
Seeing dashi who had bags under her eyes and her hair slightly messier then normal he walked up to her,
"You okay dashi? You seem VERY tired,"
She jumped by the sudden voice
"Oh yeah I'm fine! Just a headache and hangover..but I need to ask are YOU okay????"
Barnacles tilted his head
"What do you mean?"

She stayed silent looking at the royal blue ocean,not wanting to tell barnacles about what happened she turns back to him
"How about everyone gets a break for a few days hey?"

She requested with a soft smile
"Ah sure!"
