Side Chapter 5: A hero's return

Jean's POV:

Me, Connie and Sasha were saddened after what happened to Y/n. We coudn't believe it and I'm starting to lose hope for now on, our beloved friend and comrade is gone

Connie: Man..... Y/n never came back... His death doesn't seems to register with reality

Jean: Afraid I am too Connie.. Honestly I'm starting to lose hope for now on. Feels like we're gonna see him the moment we walk in the mess hall.. Feels like he'll be in his usual seat, we don't know what to do. It's crazy to think-

Sasha: Will you both just shut up for a second?! He's still alive! I can feel it! We shouldn't be talking that he's dead. He risk everything for us the moment he jumps on the wagon. The least we can do is believe. Believe that he is still alive, do you hear me?!

Connie: ...... Sasha......

Jean: Okay.... Y/n...... Is alive

Connie: But.. Jean

Jean: He's alive Connie, he's strong. And capable than any of us.. He's stronger next to Mikasa, we don't need to talk like that

Connie: Yeah.. He's alive....... Hey Sasha. I bet I can eat more potatoes within five minutes

Jean: *sighs* You two are just to much sometimes

Eren's POV:

Me, Armin and Mikasa were saddened on what happened to Y/n. His handbook is on my table. Armin and I were saddened but Mikasa is the most. The person she loves and her purpose for fighting and living is gone. I can't believe the hungry bastards took Y/n away in this cruel world. A tear just fell on my face

Eren: *saddened tone* I don't believe it... Our childhood friend... Is gone....

Armin: Me too, I didn't want to believe it too... We promised for him.. That we will reach the sea for him

Eren: Y... Yeah.. He's a soldier who faught to the very end. A soldier who faught till his last breath

Just then we heard Mikasa who is sitting on the floor, sobbing due to Y/n

Mikasa: I was in the wagon with him. I should've try harder to stop Y/n... I should've gone with him and help Y/n

Eren: This isn't just in you, Mikasa. No one tried hard enough to stop him. No one tried to help Y/n

Mikasa: That's easy for you to say Eren! You were unconscious, the rest of us saw Y/n get up! And saw him leapped of the wagon. We did nothing but watch Y/n getting eaten. What do you think you two? Watching Y/n getting eaten is what we do?!?! Huh?!

Armin: Mikasa, there's nothing we can do for him now. He's gone, wether we like it or not, wether we couldn't help him or not , we can't go back in time to change our actions or his

Eren: You're wrong Armin... We just need to make sure that his sacrifice is not in vain

Mikasa: Don't tell me to shut. You. Up. Eren

Eren: No! Both of you, shut up! Both of you SHUT UP!.. Look he died fighting for freedom, he died fighting for justice. And even if I'm gonna do that, I'll make sure humanity's dream for future comes true
