𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐖𝐈 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐄 into work and just hid in the physio's office,

To the point where Robert was tempted to injure himself in order to get the girl to just talk to him,

But he held off on the idea knowing that he would get in trouble for that.

"You okay Chilly?" Manuel asked as he walked into the room to get his finger checked out,

"I'm alright, what's up," Amelia looked up from the book she was reading.

"I think I hurt my finger," the goalie motioned to the swelling finger,

"If you broke your finger then I need to know now," the physio hadn't gotten out of her chair as quick as she had when the boy told her.

"You're in my fantasy football team and the deadline is tonight," she added in a serious tone,

"I don't know if I should take that as a compliment or not." The German let out a hearty laugh as he shook his head,

Amelia walked into the house and dropped her bag as she let out a loud sigh,

Avoiding Robert was harder than she thought it was going to be,

But if she wanted him to be able to see Klara and Laura again then it would be the thing she'd have to do.

"Hey buddy," Amelia crouched down to see her little tabby cat sprawled out on the couch,

The girl then walked to the kitchen but stopped when she walked past her big storage cabinet that displayed photos from different times in her life,

She saw the one of her and Ben from when Ben was just born and it was the first time she had ever seen a real baby,

The second one was of her and Robert laughing in the dandelion field from the trip they took with the team.

She didn't know what it was but something just set her off

"Wiggle your fingers, roll your shoulders," Amelia mumbled to herself as she tried to stop the panic attack that was coming.

Quickly realising that her method that she does alone wasn't working she grabbed her phone and clicked on the top number in her favourites list,

"Mum, please pick up. Another one is coming, Robert and I aren't talking and I don't know what to do about this one," she began to cry as she felt her heart rate increase,

"Please I need you," she added before hearing the line go dead assuming that it meant that her voice message had just been sent.

After hearing that she needed help getting out of her panic attack the footballer knew where he needed to be,

Robert quickly opened the door to her house knowing that it was unlocked and made his way into the house to see that she was rocking herself back and forth on the ground as she tried to calm down,

But of course, it really wasn't working.

"Hey, remember look into my eyes and focus on your breathing." The footballer sat down in front of the girl as he couldn't bear leaving her in that state.

"Now tell me your favourite memory of ours," he added not knowing if it was the best idea as it may have been him that set her off in the first place but he couldn't come up with anything else.

"Umm that day when you brought me back to yours and I got to hang out with your girls. And then bumping into you by the stairs." Amelia had now stopped focusing on her breathing but was still rocking herself.

"It made my feelings for you come back," she added with a bit of a smile causing the boy to make the mental note of asking her what she meant by they came back.

It had been about half an hour since their conversation on the floor when Robert brought the girl a cup of tea,

"Thank you," Amelia smiled as she watched the cup of tea he placed in front of her.

"You're welcome," Robert nodded as he sat across from her,

"I need you to be honest Lia, and forgive me if this is a bit quick but do you really want to break up with me?" He added knowing that he just needed to know the truth,

"I do, it's what needs to happen if you still want to see your kids." The physio let out a sigh as she spoke,

"Wait what?" The Polish boy cocked his head as he was taken by surprise.

"Anna told me that if I stopped seeing you then she would let the kids come more often. So I guess it is just better for you if I do step back." The kiwi was so tired now that she was just spitballing the truth to him.

"But do you want to step back?" Robert asked curiously wondering how she felt,

"Yes, I do." A part of Amelia's heart broke when she said it to him,

And by the looks of things, the same thing happened to him when she said it.

"Well I think I should get going then if you are now alright," the footballer sighed wondering if he should try to fight or respect her wishes,

"Robbie thank you for stopping by," the physio sent him a small nod which was followed by a smile.

"Together or not, I'll always be here for you Lia." He explained as he grabbed his hoodie off of the couch that he had taken off when he offered it to the girl knowing it would help her calm down.
