Wake up sleepy head!"
Adira groaned shifting positions. "Leave me alone."
Adira was about to fall back asleep until she became confused. Wasn't Ray at the Byers house?
She rolled around the bed and sat up. Adira wiped her eyes to get the haziness off her eyes. "Ray?"
"In the flesh." He answered.
"Where are we?" Adira asked confused.
"You are at our house sweetheart." Adira heard Joyce speak.
Adira's eyes finally cleared and Joyce's face came into view.
"H-how? The last I remember I was at a party."
"After Jonathan brought Nancy home he came back to pick you up. He dropped you off here before taking off again." Joyce answered.
"Oh." Was all Adira said. "Oh my goodness I am going to be late for school! Adira panicked knowing if she missed one day of school she was in deep trouble.
"Joyce is staking us to school today!" Ray exclaimed.
"That's great! Now can you please leave so I can change?"
"Ok!"
Ray closed the door shut and Adria hurriedly grabbed her emergency bag and took out some simple clothes and necessities to get herself ready.
KNOCK KNOCK
Adira had her clothes on, and already brushed her teeth. She was currently brushing her wavy black hair, "Come in!" She shouted.
Adira heard the door open and then shut. She already knew who it was, "Jonathan."
"Good morning Adira." There was a pause before he continued, "I am so sorry about last night, leaving you there by yourself."
Adira shrugged, "Don't worry I am used to it. Plus I had some company to keep me entertained."
"By the time I came back for you, you were passed out in your car. Your limbs were sprawled everywhere and your body was in a funny position. It was too funny not to take a picture." Jonathan teased.
"No you didn't!" She exclaimed in disbelief. "Hand me the picture!" She demanded.
"Nope!" He spoke humorously.
"Jonathan Byers you will hand me that photo!" She half seriously and half jokingly said.
"Not if you catch me!"
He sprinted out of the room with Adira hot on his tail screaming in a fun way.
Joyce grinned as the two ran around the house laughing and giggling like idiots until Adira managed to tackle him onto the couch. "Gotcha!"
He shoved her aside and started to tickle her, "No I got you!"
"Look at those lovebirds. " Bob mentioned as he grabbed an apple to eat.
"Jonathan stop! I can't take it no more!" Adira said out of breath.
Jonathan got off of her and helped her up. Jonathan for the first time noticed her face. The skin around her left eye was blue and her lower face had bruises. "Does it hurt?" Jonathan asked, gesturing the bruises.
"Only a little." Adira admitted.
"Have you seen them?" Joyce frantically spoke as she threw the pillows of the couch.
"Seen what?" Both Jonathan and Adira asked.
"We are looking for Joyce's keys!" Ray replied. Soon everyone was looking for Joyce's keys.
