sitting in the razorcrest while staring out into the stars as you fell asleep was one of the most peaceful times that you got to experience ever. you had the child in your lap tonight because of the guest rider being with the two of you this time. or the three, considering the kid.

the mythrol kept asking questions about everything, just trying to make some sort of conversation with your boyfriend before you finally spoke up, looking over at him.

"he's not going to answer you, you know," you told him bluntly as you kept your hold loose but still braced at any moment on the child.

"why? does he do this with you too? just ignore you or flat out not answer?"

"she's different from you," mando finally spoke up as you continued to observe the mythrol.

"and how is that so, mando? why is she so different? we're both just creatures trying to get by."

mando let out a sigh before starting his sentence.

"she knows when i want to speak," he replied as you looked back out towards the stars, softly humming along to a song from your first few nights with mando as he got quiet once more and all you could hear was your humming before you finally began drifting off.

"______, can you help me for just one second?" your boyfriend asked as you sat up slowly, trying to wake yourself up from the state of sleep you were about to go into.

you nodded, standing up as you put the child in your seat. you came over to where he was sitting, the shortest walk of all, and stood next to him, balancing yourself on his chair.

"i need to go check on something down the ladder that has to do with my engine plates," he said, looking up towards you. "can you fly the ship for just a few minutes?"

you yawned.

"who will keep watch of the child?" you asked as mando grabbed your hand in his briefly.

"i know you're tired," he said softly as you smiled down at him. "but you can get rest soon. i need you for this. for just a few minutes."

you nodded. "okay."

"and the child will stay there. that's where he is safest," mando said as he got up, about to move fully past you but pulled you close to him briefly as he kept his hand on your hip before letting go after remembering you two had company.

when he turned around and walked out to go down the ladder, you felt your heart beat speeding up as you took a seat in his chair.

you had flown his ship twice.

this would be the second time.

"he seems to really love you," the mythrol said to you as you nodded, making sure everything was set and in course.

"he does," you said softly. "and i love him."

the mythrol nodded.

"how did you two meet?"

"you ask a lot of questions, my friend," you said gently, leaning back in his chair as you tried not to make yourself anymore tired. he would be back soon.

you began to close your eyes but you had to blink a few times to keep them open.

"he better be back soon," you muttered, leaning your head off to the side to be able to see if anything was going on before slowly closing your eyes.

it didn't take long until you were fast asleep as the mythrol sat there and stared awkwardly at you sleeping before seeing the door open and mando walking back in to see you.

"she's asleep, isn't she?"

the mythrol nodded as mando sighed gently.

"i guess i'll just have to wait until she wakes up later before i can move her once more," mando said, taking a seat with the child as the mythrol looked over at him as he stared over at you.

he was relaxed and comfortable.

the mythrol smiled.

"you just absolutely love her."
