Leto X Persephone - The Fight Of Leto

Persephone admired herself in the mirror, next to her husband. She wore a black silk dress with a slit in the thigh, and he wore a suit to match. Of course, their crowns sat perfectly atop their heads. Hand in hand, they approached the chariot and set off for olympus.

It was the day of the great pantheon. Every 200 years, each god, titan, titaness and goddess alike would meet at the palace of olympus. Except those who were indisposed, such as rhea, whom was uncontactable, or kronos, who rotted in tartarus.

As they stepped out of the chariot they were met by a swarm of celestial beings walking up to the palace of olympus. Zeus greeted them all at the door, and many stared in jealously at persephone and hades. Not only, did they look the part, their love was true, anyone could see that, and they ruled in unison, making the underworld the strongest kingdom running. Although the olympians still favoured zeus, hades and persephone were easily powerful enough to trump the entirity of each realm.

"hades, old chap, hows it going?" posideon laughed, slinging an arm around hades broad shoulder. Persephone only rolled her eyes and giggled. "not bad brother, not bad at all, thanks to my lovely queen," he smiled. Persephones cheeks lit up in a blush, and posideon raised an eyebrow.

"so, wheres hera?" persephone asked.

"Hera is currently sipping wine in the corner of the room," hades said.

"no, heras just walked in" posideon said.

"then whos..... That?" perse asked, only as the figure turned around, her heart sank.

She was met by the dark eyes of leto. Titaness, and mother to apollo and artemis. She was last seen decades ago, after she and hera had a terrible falling out. Only no one knew why, since they were the best of friends.

Leto slowly approached persephone, and persephone walked to meet her, creating a circle of olympians watching them. Hades tapped his foot nervously, ready to intervene at any given moment.

"so you are the girl my son wished to court?" she snarled, pulling back her viel. Persephone was met with a face not unlike heras, but more sour and dark.

"i think you mean queen, and yes, your foul beast of a son wished to control me, not court me," perse retorted. Gasps were heard around the room as persephone challenged the titaness. Hades almost jolted to her aid, but held back.

"my, my, what a foul mouth you have for a creature of your age, your hagged mother must be so disappointed, especially to see you chose son of kronos, over god of the sun, shame on you, girl," leto seethed, eyes now fully black. Persephones eyes glowed a crimson red and her viens began to glow purple. Hades wished her could stop his queen, but he knew, leto was no match for the wrath of the spring goddess, and the whole of olympus would be here to see it.

"listen here, you castaway old bitch," persephone seethed, prodding letos chest.

"i am persephone, goddess of spring, queen of the underworld, and most importantly, bringer of death, how dare you insult me, my husband, and my mother to my face, infront of the whole of olympus. You should have stayed in the whole, that you crawled in, and died, leto, you no good, useless, powerless, PHONY OF A TITANESS! " Persephone bellowed. The ground shook and cracked, vines seeping through. A large twisted vine curled upward and around letos neck.

Olympus stood in awe, even zeus quivered at the sight. Persephone had struck fear in the mightiest of gods.

" let me get this straight, cretin, should i ever, see you, or hear a word grace your lips again, i will tear you, limb from limb, and you will only wish, that i had let you rot in the bowels of tartarus! Leave before i ruin you," persephone panted, eyes flickering now back to a more blue colour. Leto flipped down her viel and dashed out of the palace doors. Many cheered as hades hugged persephone, and many still quivered in fear.

Ares words had finally come true.

Persephone, was the angriest goddess in the whole pantheon.
