I placed my hands inside the pocket of my coat, trying to calm myself down. I should have expected this. We did not define what we are to each other.

Maybe we're just friends?

I bit the inner sides of my cheek. Friends don't sleep with each other.

Friends with benefits then.

An unexplained ill feeling was starting to bother me from the corner of my thoughts. A surge of questions filled my head.

Was he even gay? Maybe I'm just an experiment so he'd know if he's just curious or not.

Bisexual then? Does it even matter? I asked myself.

He got in your pants, he's back with a blonde haired woman that's it. I cursed myself I should have known better. I dug my own grave by being in this situation.

Great job, Reidyr. You fucking outdone yourself this time.

The frustration was becoming bothersome, like I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. I have never felt this kind of frustration, not even when I couldn't play a musical piece perfectly. Reflexively, I was touching the ring pendant on my chest.

You made it so easy for me to love. I mused to myself.

In hindsight, he really did make it easier to love. It was straightforward between us. It wasn't a perfect relationship. I mean all couples argue from time to time, but he was sure of me and I was sure of him, until...never mind.

Now's not the time to reminisce about your past relationship Reidyr. Suddenly, a blast of horn from a vehicle near me roused me back to reality. I didn't realize that the vehicle was following me. The window on the driver side rolled down and a familiar pair of grey eyes greeted me.

"Penny for your thoughts Mr. Fairchild?" I chuckled. "Mr. Faulkner, a pleasure seeing you on this gloomy day." I said as I stopped on my tracks. His vehicle stopped.

"Everything okay Rei?" I nodded. He motioned his head for me to go inside his Jeep.

"Coffee? For old time sakes." I smiled.

"Sure," I said and went to the passenger side of his Jeep and he drove away. As I placed my seatbelt, securely across my body. Grayson spoke. "Trouble in paradise?" I chuckled. "And here I thought being psychic was just a myth."

"I'm a man of many talents." He clicked his tongue and gave a playful wink. I laughed. "Nah, it's kind of my fault this time." He raised a brow. "Oh, do tell..." Obviously, he's interested in my tale. I told him what happened in his office, except the part where Luke almost caught us. One thing that I liked about Grayson, he always listens to your story without cutting you off, unless it's necessary.

"One thing is for sure; the man is not straight." I raised a brow. I also may have told him about Killian's sexuality.

"You think? I mean, I think he's been with woman primarily until-"

"You came in the picture." Grayson finished my sentence as he took a left turn. "Maybe he's just curious and then he realized that he was straight." I heard Grayson snickered and rolled his eyes. "Straight?"

"Yeah, he's straight." He was fighting to stifle a laugh.

"So is spaghetti until it gets wet." I started laughing so hard.

"You did not just say that."

"Oh, I did." As soon as the traffic lights turned red, the vehicle came to a stop. "Believe when I say that he's into you. He did not just gatecrash the charity ball so that he could dance with you for nothing." I remained silent.
