Chapter 3

Y/N P.O.V

Night time came around pretty quickly today.
Sonya and I spent most of the it talking to one another, I can't help but feel like I've known her forever, she seems so familiar i-. I was snapped out of my thoughts when one of the girls shouted at me and Sonya to come over as the bonfire was about to start.
We walked over at a quickened pace, Sonya told me to stand back, So I did and then all of a sudden the girls started lighten giant wooden spears on fire, they then chocked them at the huge pile of timber in front of them, everyone then cheered and sat down with smiles on their faces
I sat down up against a log with my back turned to everyone,I felt someone come over and sit down next to me, I look over and see Sonya smiling at me, and we started to talk, I asked her how longs she's been here in the den, she said she's been here for about three years now, she also told me that Harriet has been here the longest, apparently she's been her for almost five years, Sonya spoke up
"cmon I should introduce you to some people, newbie" she said
I just nodded
"I'll introduce you to the cooks first" Sonya said,
We walked over to a group of two girls who I assumed were the cooks
"hey newbie, I'm Lizzie" one of the girls said as she stuck out her hand
I took her hand and shook it, another girl came over to me and introduced herself
"I'm Rachel" she said,
Apparently she was the newbie before me.
I talked to Rachel for a bit while Sonya talked to Lizzie, that was until one of the builders shouted at me
"hey newbie, wanna fight?" she asked, she looked really strong
"i don't think that's a good idea Beth" Sonya said
"yeah especially since she hurt herself pretty bad yesterday" Allie said,
Beth asked me if I wanted to fight or not and I said fine
"OK so there are only two rules" she stated
"rule number one : try and push your opponent out of the circle and rule number two: try and last more than fifteen seconds"
Everyone around us laughed, exelt for Sonya, Rachel, Lizze and Allie
And just like that I turned around and we began fighting.
