New friendship and love

Jake's POV

Me and Xander stare at each other not knowing what to say,I didn't know why I agree to the coffee anyway when I know there's nothing to talk about,we are mortal enemies and nothing would change that I guess.He drank his coffee satisfactory,he has really change a lot.Puberty hit him hard just like it did to me.

"How was your life in London?".He ask first.

"It was good".

"Why exactly did you invite me for coffee?We hate each other remember?".I reminded him and he frown.

"I thought we are letting bygones be bygones and plus I need you to do me a favour".

I got curious,"What favour?".

"Can you pick Kathy at the airport today,I've a business meeting I've to attend".He said continue checking his watch.

That's strange,I knew Kathy and his Mom went to Australia but why is he asking me of all people to pick Kathy up?She is a spoilt little brat....

"Fine,I've nothing doing anyway".We stare at each other again not knowing what to say,he stood up and I did.

"See you later-Friend".He suddenly said and left.I was actually surprise at his words for me.Friend when did I became his friend?Is it by just having silent coffee?Xander is strange I knew that since high school.

Regardless,I went to the airport and wasn't eager to see Katherine.She is really spoilt,rude and self-centered,I didn't like her when I first got to know her.She was young and never my type.I saw her,her hair wasn't in a bob anymore,She doesn't cut it anymore,it has grown.it was packed up.She was carrying her luggage with a hand and her bag on the other hand.Puberty also hit her hard,she is so beautiful without make up,she looks more natural than she has ever been.Her face was flawless and her it's written maturity in it.She notice me and came towards me.

There was a surprise look on her face,"You are here?,what are you doing here?".

I sigh before answering her."Xander asked me to pick you up at the airport,c'mon I'll drive you home".

Her lips twitched into a smile,she blush when she noticed I was starring at her.She excuse herself and dial her brother's number.After talking with her brother,she smile at me which I don't know why."Xander is a bit busy so he asked you here that's a surprise for me though considering you both are enemies,what change?".She ask,her arm cross.

Before I could speak,she said something else."Is Evelyn gone now?wasn't that the reason why you guys fought all the time well I'm glad she is gone now,I hate her she is a spoilt brat".

I couldn't help but laugh at her conclusion of Evelyn.Spoilt brat?What about her?."What are you laughing about?".She ask confuse.

I clear my throat to refrain myself from laughing harder,"Have you look at yourself in the mirror before calling Evelyn a spoilt brat?.You are more spoilt Katherine pot kettle".I said and she scoff then frowning.She became sad over my mere words,I felt kinda bad.

"I have changed,I'm not longer the spoilt girl anyone.I've learnt a lot when I was in Australia".She became really sad.

I carry her luggage to the car and she followed behind.We both entered the car and she gaze at me admirably."You've change a lot".She blush while saying that.

"You too,how is Australia and your Mom?".I ask with concern.

"My Mom will come back next week and Australia is fine,I enjoyed my stay there.I just really miss my Dad and Xander".

"You and that girl-My former tutor I think her name is Kenzie.You both aren't together anymore right?".She ask,her eyes never leaving me.

How does she even know we dated?

"Why do you care?".

"Just answer me".

"We aren't together anymore-We are step sibling".

She gasp at the news but she didn't ask how."I'm glad because now you might have time for me".She said happily.

I turn my attention to her."Time for you?I don't get it".

"How long are you going to pretend that you don't know I have a crush on you?".

"I've had a crush on you ever since I was in high school,I watched you date many girls even when I was jealous and angry I let you be and now that you're single.It will be good for both of us".She explain.

I can't help but laugh at what she just said,I really laugh hard."Say something do you want to date me or not?".She ask hope evident on her face.

"I'm sorry but I don't think I'm ready to date again.And even if I was I won't-

"Don't say it.I know what you wanted to say you won't date someone like me-a rich princess,spoilt mannerless girl.I'm not your type am I?Just pretend I didn't ask".She turn her face and I knew she was silently sobbing over her rejection.

I felt guilty and bad for what I said,I shouldn't have put it that way.I can't believe she had a crush on me for so long and didn't even let me notice.I didn't even notice her back then except except for when she saved me from a snake bite when I was in high school.I thanked her and that's was enough for her but that's was all,I didn't pay attention to her after then.

This is so weird though;Just like I wished,we finally got  to Xander's house.It was a mansion big and expensive."This is Xander's house go in.You're welcome".I said and open the car door but she stop me.

"Jake what if I kiss you right now?What are you going to do about it?I've always wondered when I'll finally be able to touch and kiss you should I do it now?".She says and something tells me she isn't asking.She wants it.

Before I knew it,she force her lips on mine trying to make me respond but I didn't,I seal my lips shut and it was like she was kissing a stone.She stop and step back away from me.Her eyes begins to water at the embarrassment she caused herself but she cross her arm in a commanding way that would hide her sadness.

"Don't expect me to apologize because I won't.I kiss you because I want it and like it nothing wrong with that".She sniff and carry her luggage before entering the mansion.

I sigh frustratedly.This is so hard for me too,I'm still in transition of moving on from everything and now she's happening,how am I to tell her I don't have any feelings for her?How am I to tell her I haven't fully move on and that's why I can't date or love anyone not now at least....
