24- Reunion

Nya P.O.V.

I opened my eyes slowly and groaned out with pain. 

"Nya!" Jay shouted as he embraced me tightly.

"What happened?" I asked confused.

"Garmadon went full beast mode on you. You pissed him off by all that talk of Lloyd" Kai said.

"Oh yeah.... I remember now" I said as I winced.

I tried to get up but Jay was making that very hard. He wouldn't let go of me.

"Jay really I'm okay, just an awful headache" I said.

"You scared me Nya, I thought that you were gone for a second."

"You can't get rid of me that easily" I smiled.

"Guys, sorry to break up the moment but we have a problem" Cole said pointing to the very angry Garmadon.

I slowly stood up with the help of Kai and Jay. Garmadon was destroying more buildings and civilians in the process. Zane and Cole charged at him but were almost immediately blasted back by Garmadon's elemental power.

"Just face it! You can't defeat me. You're weak!"

Kai nodded in agreement. "He's right you know. We have all faced Garmadon at least once. No one has ever beaten him apart from...."

"Lloyd" Jay finished the sentence.

"Yeah" Kai sighed.

I tried not to seem bothered by hearing that name, but I was, and Kai and Jay knew that all too well.

We watched as Zane and Cole got thrown around like pieces of trash.

"Come on guys, we need to help them" Kai said.

Jay and I nodded and joined in on the fight. We all blasted him with our powers, but nothing seemed to affect him either way.

Harumi said that Garmadon would only reach his full potential as soon as Lloyd was dead. Since Lloyd is dead, Garmadon is undefeatable. We all did our best, but we had to face it, our best just wasn't good enough this time.

Garmadon threw several punches and blasted us many times.

"Get up guys, Ninja never quit!" Cole shouted weakly.

We all slowly stood up again and resumed our fighting positions.

We presumed to attack Garmadon when he scoffed and aimed a floating heap of bricks at a civilian who stood by hopelessly. 

"Oh no you don't!" Kai yelled as he ran towards Garmadon.

Garmadon turned around swiftly and lifted Kai into the air with his powers.

"Kai, the first Ninja to fall! You were always the meddling one." Kai started to choke.

"Stop this Garmadon, please!" I begged. "What would Lloyd think of you if he saw you now?"

"Lloyd is dead!" He shouted.

"Please Garmadon. We have all suffered loss, you included. Please don't let us go through that yet again. Show mercy" I pleaded.

Garmadon shared a moment of sadness through his eyes but then shook his head.

"No! I am done with this ungrateful city! They killed my son. Because of them, he will never see the light again. They will feel the same darkness as he felt as he slipped away from life. He did everything for this city, for them. Did he get any gratitude? No, he did not. As for you Ninja. Your job was to protect him. Remember? All those years ago? I left you my son, I trusted that he would be in good care. Tell me, where is he now? I don't see him anywhere. Oh, yeah, that's right. He is dead!" Garmadon spat with anger. 

"I tried!" Kai coughed out.

"You didn't try hard enough! You promised him. You promised him that you would watch over him! You failed. You all did!"

Right when he was about to finish Kai off, the sky lit up.

Everyone looked up at the golden glow in awe. 

"What is that?" Cole asked.

We all squinted our eyes, trying to make out what the mysterious golden glow stood for.

"Whatever it is, it's coming straight for us!" Jay yelled.

We didn't know what to do. Run? Hide? Stay? We waited for some type of conformation, but none was received. Even Garmadon stared confused. 

"Wait, that.... that looks like a dragon" Zane said as he pointed to the now closer golden glow.

We all stood confused when Cole let out a gasp.

"That IS a dragon" Cole said shocked. 

I shook my head. "That.... That's impossible. The only person who ever had the power to create a golden dragon is...."

Everyone looked at each other with disbelief.

It can't be.... Lloyd is dead, right?

The golden glow which was indeed a dragon kept a flying hight above us. On the dragon, we saw a golden figure. No one knew what to make of it, we were still in shock. 

"Father! Stop this at once!" The figure shouted.

"Son?" Garmadon spoke softly.

It was silent. Everyone was in shock. The words the figure spoke were indeed conformation. Lloyd was.... alive?

"W-What? H-How?" Garmadon stammered on the verge of never seen before tears.

The figure jumped off his dragon and removed his hood. Revealing.... Lloyd.

His blond streaks waved in the wind as he turned around to face our still shocked looks.

"Hey guys" He spoke softly.

I collapsed to my knees at the sight of him. How was this possible?

There was a moment of silence before the team ran towards him. 

"Lloyd?!" They all cried out simultaneously. 

They embraced Lloyd, huddling around him. 

"B-But you were d-dead?!" Kai cried out.

Lloyd stepped out of the huddle and nodded silently. 

He looked over to me and smiled softly. 

I was still on the ground, staring down at the concrete floor. It was a dream. It was all just a dream. It had to be. There was no way that Lloyd, the person whom I loved. Was standing a few steps away from me.

I suddenly felt a presence. I didn't dare look. What if it were Kai? Or Jay? I didn't want to be disappointed. I wanted to feel this feeling just a while longer. 

I then felt a hand on my chin, lifting it up. 

I looked up and stared right into the eyes before me. There he was. Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon. Here, right in front of me.

"Lloyd? Is that.... is that really you?" I spoke softly.

"Yes Nya, I'm here" He spoke as he buried my head into his chest.

"H-How?" I cried out.

"I'll tell you later my darling Nya. Just know, I'm never going to leave you again. That's a promise."
