As me and MJ are walking out of the hotel with my luggage, I see Pete and Ned standing right outside, so I walk up and greet them. I hear them say something about going to Prague.
"Who's going to Prague?" I ask, walking up. They both turn with wide eyes to me.
"We are!" Mr. Harrington announces, "The tour company upgraded us!"
My heart fills with joy, and a huge smile comes over my face. Maybe this trip won't be so bad after all. I look to Pete who has a concerned look on his face, "Pete, what is it?"
He shakes his head and looks at me, "Oh, nothing. Just tired from yesterday. How'd you sleep?"
I narrow my eyes at him, knowing something is up, but I ignore it for now, "Fine. I wished you had been there with me though," I say, hugging him around the neck.
He awkwardly smiles and looks around, obviously not paying attention, "Y-Yeah, me too."
Something is up with him. I step back and look at him seriously, "Okay, what's going on? Why are you being so weird?"
"I'll explain later. Now just isn't a good time, okay?" he snaps impatiently.
I'm a bit taken back by how he just spoke to me. He only does that when something is really bothering him... Is it me? Did I do something? I grab my suitcase calmly without saying anything else and follow everyone else to our new bus.
Pete follows closely behind, neither of us saying anything. We both get on the bus, and after his outburst a minute ago, I don't really feel much like sitting next to him.
"Ned, get up. I need to sit by MJ," I say. He does what I say and goes to sit with Peter. I pop my headphones in and listen to music on the way to Prague.
During the drive, I turned to look at Peter a few times. Every time he was messing with the glasses from my dad. It made me smile, but I shook it off. I should be mad at him. He snapped at me for no reason... I thought things were going good between us.
The bus pulls over for a restroom stop, but I don't really have to go so I stay on the bus. Peter hurries off the bus in a flash, along with mostly everyone else. After a few minutes, everyone gets back on the bus and we get on the road again. This time Peter is sitting up front, a lot further away from me.
"Hey, Bri," Brad says, grabbing my attention, "Check this out." He holds his phone out, but suddenly the bus starts swerving and hitting the guard rails. Everyone screams in fear, but the driver manages to get us back on the road.
"Peter, get your fanny in a seat!" Mr. Harrington says.
"Oh look! Baby mountain goats!" Pete exclaims. Everyone turns their head, but none of us see any mountain goats. I roll my eyes at him and look back out the window on the other side, knowing he was making direct eye contact with me. What is his problem?
"Anyways, Brianna. Look at this," Brad says, leaning across the aisle to show me his phone. But he starts scrolling through his pictures, "It was right here! I swear! That's so weird!"
I look up and see Peter peeking around his seat with the EDITH glasses on, but when we make eye contact, he quickly sits back to where I can't see him.
"Yeah... weird," I say.
We finally arrive to Prague, and we check into our beautiful hotel. It's so classy with tile flooring, big chandeliers, beautiful furniture. As soon as we get inside, Pete rushes away to take a phone call. There's a celebration in Prague going on right now called the Festival of Lights, so I'm going to go with MJ and Ned.
We all go up to our rooms to get ready before heading out to explore. We each got our own rooms, which was nice. I got dressed in a white tank top and a flowy flower patterned skirt that hit halfway down my thighs.
