Beyoncé's P.O.V
Being back home, wasn't something physical. It was far from it.
I was back emotionally, feeling what it was to be sitting on my father's lap telling him what I did that day and how it felt to be in my mother's arms as she rocked me and hummed a song to me. It unlocked a level of love that I forgot about long ago.
I was feeling confident about myself again. I know I'll make mistakes and I'll have great times. I'll laugh and cry. I'll have hard times again, I'm sure of that, but I'll have love.
That was what made those moments so precious and that's what makes everything I've been through worth it.
Love is everything that really matters to me. It's what moves me and guides me and I'll never allow myself to forget it again.
I took off my shoes and took a frame with my parents' picture in my hand as I put my feet on the couch.
BEYONCÉ
"I miss you so much."
APRIL
(Walks to the couch)
"Mom...?"
I felt a big smile building up on my face.
BEYONCÉ
"Hey my baby."
I reached out my hands to her and she got on the couch with me.
BEYONCÉ
"What are you doing up?"
APRIL
"I just wanted to see you coming back."
BEYONCÉ
"Were you trying to check up on me?"
APRIL
(Laughs)
"Kind of."
BEYONCÉ
(Laughs)
APRIL
(Looks at the frame)
"You said you miss them?"
BEYONCÉ
"Yeah. And I do."
APRIL
"I wish I met them."
BEYONCÉ
"I'd love that too."
"Can I have a hug? A tight and long one...?"
She looked at me trying to read my feelings, and looking for sadness I think, but when she didn't find it she just smiled and hugged me like I asked her to.
APRIL
"Are you okay?"
BEYONCÉ
"Yes, like never before."
(Kisses her)
I adjusted my body and lied down bringing her with me after I placed the frame down on the coffee table.
APRIL
"Where did you go?"
BEYONCÉ
"I drove a little, and then I stopped somewhere and had dinner."
"I just wanted to spend some time alone."
"How about you guys, did you have a goodnight?"
APRIL
(Nods)
BEYONCÉ
"And what about school...?"
APRIL
"It was fine. I'm getting a lot better."
BEYONCÉ
"I'm glad to hear that."
APRIL
"I spent the day studying with Aaron."
BEYONCÉ
"That's a good thing, but... what does it mean?"
APRIL
"Nothing, I just... every day with him feels better now."
BEYONCÉ
(Smiles)
"These words make me happy and scared at the same time."
"Look at me."
I held her chin up softly and she looked at me waiting for my words.
