Friday after noon

I entered the gym where Kaori was practicing for the upcoming basketball game along with her team. I then sat down in a chair by the sideline. I've never really been interested in basketball, not in elementary and not in middle school but not Kaori. She loves basketball, but i don't really know why, she never told me why. me and Kaori have been friends since the beginning of middle school, so for two years. She is my only friend. No one else will even come near me. I owe her a lot since She cared for me and comforted me every time I was sad. Before I met her I was a mess, I was so lost and to make things worse my parents died, so i really had nobody back then.the least i could do is come to her basketball practice and tournaments. Suddenly I felt a cold substance dripping down my neck, I snapped my head around to see kaori splashing me with water. she noticed i wasn't zoned out anymore and went back to drinking her water bottle

Kaori won her first game the score was 14-18 we then watched as the next two teams got ready to play i noticed that one boy was still waiting to be putt in the game it was weird because everytime the subs would go in he would stay waiting on the bench

Before i knew it there were only 7:00 minutes left of this game the boy was still waiting to be put in the game the boy had crimson red hair and beautiful jet black eyes finally he was put in the game he was on offence waiting for the point guard to give the signal for the picks he stood on the block before i new it they had set the picks and he had the ball i felt my eyes widen he played so good it was amazing “are you ok kurai your eyes are sparkling like you just won a million dollars” “what up with your little friend” i heard one of kaoris friends say “i don't know what's up with him “kaori when does boys basketball start?” ”why” ”i wanna join”
