"COULDN'T SLEEP, YOU?" Jack shook his head and sat on the couch next to her. He took a quick glance at the sleepy girl, the dark circles under her eyes spoke loudly about how much sleep she was actually getting. "Do you sleep well Brit?" He asked her, regretting the question as soon as he saw her slightly shudder. "I- no" she told him letting out a heavy sigh. Truth was, after she moved she could barely sleep, her work piled up and her thoughts often clouded her mind too much for sleep.

Jack rubbed circles on the girls back in hopes of getting her to catch a few Z's. After a few minutes of him humming, she was asleep on his shoulder. His eyes stayed fixed on her face while she slept peacefully on his shoulder. He felt creepy to be staring at her while she was sleep but he missed her. He left a soft kiss on her forehead and eventually fell asleep alongside her. Jack went into a dreamless abyss of relaxation, feeling her near him made him comfortable. He felt relief. The two slept peacefully for the first time in a while, snuggled into one another on the couch.

Morning came fast, everyone filed out of their rooms to find Jack and Brittany cuddled on the couch. "They were made for each other, they just need to get their crap figured out" Jonah said to the others as he went to prepare the food for breakfast. Corbyn watched his sister sleep next to the boy with a small smile on his face, he was hoping they would finally come to their senses and realize how much they actually needed each other. It's like they kept testing their limits to see how much the other could bend before breaking.

The night before Brittany had told them she was seeing a guy from her work, he was charming and she had been on a few dates with him. In her head he could never compare to jack and he was the on,y one she wanted but she settled for less because they didn't stay in contact like they had promised each other. Music consumed Jack while work consumed Brittany, both finding it hard to make time for each other and on just let each other go completely. That only took a few weeks. It only broke their hearts slower, but it's was more painful that way, it felt like slowly ripping a band-aid off your skin.

Britt and Jack slept till noon, only waking up to the smell of pizza that the boys ordered for lunch. By this time the girls were over and they were having a Fortnite tournament in the downstairs of the large house. The laughs and cuss words were quite loud but Jack just looked at Brittany and they both laughed. The two got to talking and soon decided upon going to the basement.
