"Mikasa" Armin called out with a bright smile, giving a happy wave as he ran over to her. He was thirteen years old just like Mikasa and Eren. 

"You remembered my name, Armin" Mikasa muttered surprised, she only spent the single day with Armin and Eren and never saw or spoke with them since. She never left the survey camp again after Furlan and Isabel death, became even more when it rained. 

"Hehe, and you remembered mine. Anyway, I told you before Didn't I? I only had Eren as my friend before but than you became our friend, of course I'll remember you" Armin smiled sweetly, acting like no time had passed them.

"It's good to see you again Armin but this is the training corps, Why are you here?" Mikasa replied, a little unsure why Armin would be here. Keith Shadis just finished his shitty welcoming speech to all the 104th class making them have the rest of the day to find their barracks and pick out a bed. Along with get to know other soldiers and get use to the training grounds.

"I joined up with Eren, I noticed you in the crowd but Shadis scares the life out of me and I was too scared to risk catching your attention why he spoke" Armin nervously smiled as he rubbed his arm a little. 

"You joined up, I did not expect that but I'm glad you did. At least I have one comrade around here now and it's nice knowing there's someone with a brain close by" Mikasa mumbled back as she crossed her arms, Armin chuckling over her poke at the rest being idiots for joining up.

"Yeah, it's great to have you around. Eren determined to pass and join the survey corps, that dream hasn't died down for him but I'm thinking of following along. I hear commander Erwin is a great leader and comes up with great battle plans. I would love to be apart of that action, use my head for something useful" Armin smiled brightly, feeling a little more proud to say why he joined up without fear of Mikasa laughing at him or doubting him in passing the training due to looking weak. He knew Mikasa would just accept it and believe in him on passing. 

"Yep, he's a great pain in the ass" Mikasa bitterly whispered under her breath, glancing to the side as she thought of all the moments she was around Erwin. Saw, he came up with good plans but he as a jerk and he knew it. 

"Did you say something?" Armin asked unsure, looking to her with worry over missing something important.

"I said I'm sure you'll do well, they're always looking out for someone with common sense and a good brain. You'll be a great help" Mikasa replied, reminding herself to be careful over her side comments if it had to do with Erwin. 

"Thanks!" Armin smiled even brighter.

"This may sound strange but do you think you can help me find my barracks, I don't understand the directions given to me with my uniform?" Mikasa asked a little embossed and showed the bit of paper that held her class ID number and a small scribble of directions over what female Barracks she's been given. 

"Yikes, did a monkey write this?" Armin asked horrified as he looked to the note, not even sure what counted as a number or letter.

"Yeah, I ended up changing in the girls shared bathroom since that was easy to find" Mikasa admitted as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"Why don't we find another girl from 104th, I hear there's only one barracks for girls in our class since it was enough to hold them all. But than again, the training barracks do hold close to a hundred people thanks to  the triple bunk beds. I hate to be the person stop sleeping on the top of the middle, I won't feel safe using those ladders" Armin muttered back as he passed the note back, not having a chance at actually reading the writing.
