A Unique Human

Chapter 7: Dance

Y/N was currently finishing up his set exercise which was a few dozen push ups, sit ups and jogging. Garnet had told him what to do when she wasn't there and this was the first day he was doing it. It wasn't easy, even with his powers, it told him that he was still human and some part of him was very thankful for that. Never-the-less he concluded the exercise and sat on a nearby log. 'Wow ... exercising sure is tiring ...' He thought to himself as he caught his breath.

There was a sudden noise coming from the forest that signalled he wasn't alone. Y/n instantly got prepared and looked all around him, sensing that someone was watching him. His sense proved correct as a purple lion soon jumped out at him, moving quickly he ducked and punched it in the gut which sent the creature opposite him.

He walked up to the purple lion and got a good look at it ... wait ... 'Purple?'

"Amethyst ... I know its you." Y/N sighed as he crouched next to her.

"Awh dude, didja have to punch me like that?" Amethyst groaned as she reverted back to her normal form.

"Sorry, you scared me ..." Y/N said as he helped Amethyst up.

"How did you even do that anyway??" Amethyst asked curiously.

"Luck and ... a big rock ..." Y/N said so not to get asked a bunch of questions.

"'k well, that's not the reason I came over." Amethyst started as she looked around. "Why was Garnet over your house the other day?" She asked suspiciously.

"I ... Uhhh ... Well ..." Y/N tried to come up with a response.

"Come on man, spill the tea!" Amethyst pushed.

"She ... just came over to see how I was doing ..." He blurted to hope she would buy it.

Amethyst looked at him for a minute. "Mmmm ... I'll just badger Garnet some more, say, why don't you help her with one of her geminars?" Amethyst suggested.

Y/N thought for a moment. "What's it about?" He asked curiously.

"Oh! Oh! It'll be good, its about relationships!" Amethyst snickered.

"Wh-what? Maybe I should just stay here ..." He said as his cheeks were tainted with a rose blush.

"Nah Nah, you should go, maybe help her out ~" Amethyst smirked.

He didn't really have a choice as Amethyst suddenly grabbed him and ran towards the nearest warp pad, which luckily wasn't too far. She jumped on the warp pad with Y/N and activated it which sent the two to Little Homeschool. 

"A-amethyst ... I don't know about this ..." Y/N said a bit uneasy about the idea of him joining the geminar.

"Whyyy? Is something going on that I should know aboutttt?" Amethyst said in a teasing tone.

"N-no of course not ..." Y/N said as another blush tainted his face.

"Well then if that's the case you wouldn't mind if I take you too her ..." Amethyst teased as she grabbed him by the wrist once again and lead him to the building that Garnet was teaching in.

There was no door but rather two curtains hanging in front of the archway that would've been the door. "Good luck, I think you'll need it!" Amethyst said as she quickly ran away.

Y/N Sighed as he knew he couldn't just walk away, he took a deep breath in and parted the curtains. What he didn't expect to see what a multitude of different gems slow dancing, he didn't know what to do. Luckily, there was a table near the corner that he managed to get to by sneaking past all the gems dancing. 

'I'm not wearing the right clothes for this! Why did I even go through with this ...' Y/N cried internally as he was still wearing his Red and Black fighting Gi. He brought it years ago and while he loved it, it wasn't suitable for this scenario.
