Chapter 12 - This Guy

Mia's POV

In the end the Light and Dark academy won with thirteen points out of fifteen. They are really strong. What would happen if we were to face them?

"Okay everyone, back to your rooms. The Academy Battle will resume tomorrow morning. Be early or you'll regret it." said the host.

What does she mean by we'll regret it?

 It was already eight in the morning when I woke up. The battles will resume in one hour. I thought I could do some more training so that I won't be easily squished by the other students and so I could last a little longer in the arena.

I went to the training room and saw somebody. It was a... a Guy.

I never noticed him before. Not until now. He had a black hair and his body was fit. I feel the heat of the room rising. I felt awkward seeing him. He had a cat with him. Maybe he is an animal guy?

I didn't enter the room, yet, because he was still there. I waited for him to leave but seems like he won't. I got tired of waiting that's why I gave a loud sigh and entered the room. When I entered, I saw him sitting on the ground. I also saw a cat trying to climb up to him. A minute passed and he noticed me.

"Hi there." he said with a smile. The cat managed to get to him and so he took it and let it sit on his lap.

"Hi." I replied.

The cat purred and slept.

"It's cute."

"What's cute?" he asked.

"Nothing. So why are you here?" I said while on my way to sit beside him.

"I was planning to train here but I this cat interrupted me." he gave a little laugh.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"I'm... Edward from Death Academy."

"Death... Anyway, I'm Mia from GAIA Academy."

"It's already eight-forty. We need to go."

"Right."

We both left the training room and went back to our rooms. As I got back, I immediately changed to my uniform. I was so disappointed of myself. I woke up early to train but I never had the chance to.

I got out from my room and went to the arena. Nobody was there except me, the elites from GAIA and Edward with some of his schoolmates. I guess everybody is still asleep. I looked at the screen which showed the current time and it said, "8:59". One more minute until the battle resumes.
