Raya and The Last Dragon x OC

2. The Gem

"Hey i wanna show you guys something, follow me" Raya whispered as we all got up and swiftly left the main hall area. We started walking up what looked like the side of a cliff. We were a long way up

"Woh" I said looking at the view

"Pretty amazing isn't it" Raya said "And there's something even more amazing that i wanna show you guys, so hurry up" Five minutes later we arrived at an entrance of an old cave. Slowly we made our way inside, i ran my fingers along the intricate carvings on the walls. Straight away I noticed the calming sound of water running, accompanied by a bright blue glow.

"the spirit of Sisu, i can feel it" Namaari said as she bowed her head towards the gem in the middle of the cave

"It's the last bit of dragon magic left in the whole world" Raya added as she too bowed

"It's beautiful" I said as i bowed with them

"I see why heart guards it closely, thank you Raya you've been very helpful" Just then Namaari kicked Raya's back and she fell to the floor

"RAYA!" i shouted as I made my way over to her

"Don't come any closer Sakiya, I don't want to hurt you" Namaari said with pleading eyes

"Why are you doing this Namaari?" I asked

"Because i have to, ok!" She shouted back "In a different world maybe things wouldn't have to be like this but for now i have to do whats right for fang" Namaari continued, Raya picked herself up from the ground and ran infront of Namaari taking up a defensive stance. They then started fighting each other, punches where thrown here and there before Raya managed to kick down Namaari. Suddenly a flare was released by Namaari into the sky

"There is no way your are taking Sisu's gem" Raya shouted angrily

"Sorry it's fangs now" Namaari said as a group of guards came to back her up from behind, just then Raya's dad appeared in front of her ready to battle the guards. I went alongside her as her dad fought against them. 

"You will not step foot on the dragon gems inner circle" Raya's father said to the fang warriors

"What's going on?" 

"What is this?"

"Fangs making a break for the gem"

"No spine should have the gem" The Chief of Spine shouted

"Not if we get to it first"
"Our blades say different"

"Listen to me, we have a choice, we can tear each other appart or we can come together and build a better world, it's not too late. I still believe we can be Kumandra again" Raya's dad started to say before an arrow shot him in the leg

"FATHER!" I hear Raya shout as she runs over to him as the others run towards the gem in an attempt to claim it as their own. I was pushed through the crowd harshly to the back. I suddenly got pushed sideways and lost my footing, that's when someone caught me. I looked up to see Namaari holding me in her arms

"I got you" She said sweetly as she smiled at me

"Thanks" I muttered looking back at her. I quickly turned back to face where the gem was and all i could see where people snatching it from one another before SMASH the gem broke into six different pieces. The ground began to shake violently and cracks began to form through the rock.

"No........... NO!"Rayas dad said as he limped over towards the gem fragments.

 Everyone began screaming as the ground continued to shake under their feet. A large statue of a dragon started to crumble above me and Namaari. Large pieces of rock began to fall down, just as one was about to land on me, I was pushed out of the way by Namaari. We rolled on the floor until we came to a hault away from danger. I had then just realised Namaari had risked herself by pushing me out the way and cradling my body to protect me.

"You ok?" She asked

"Yeh, yeh i think I am" I responded whilst hugging her back as a thank you

"Good" She replied, just then everything went dead silent. A monsterous roar was then let out and a purply, black monster appeared infront of us. It was the DRUNE. Everyone ran around in a mad panic, trying to flee.

The Drune started to attack people turning them into stone. I stood up quickly and grabbed Namaari's hand. I ran out of the cave and followed the flow of people. Eventually we made it to our parents and went our seperate ways.

"Father, father we have to leave" I begged him as i started pulling him out the way of debry

"No my love I can't" He responded

"What do you mean you can't!? We need to get out of here now" I shouted in a panicked tone

"My love i am injured I cannot go any futher. You are the future of Soul, I place my trust in you now go do me proud" He shouted as he handed me a piece of the gem and chucked me into the river just before the drune turned him into stone.

"FATHER NOO!" i shouted as i began to cry, suddenly I saw another head in the water 

"RAYA? RAYA!" i shouted to grab her attention

"SAKIYA, WHERE ARE YOU?" I heard Raya shout back

"I'M HERE, I'M OVER HERE!!" i replied

"I'M COMING TO YOU" She shouted "OK BE QUICK" i responded. Raya began to get close to me when a massive wave came between us and threw we further back

"RAYA, RAYA!" I shouted as i started to be pushed by the current in the opposite direction

"NOO SAKIYA, DON'T LEAVE ME" Raya shouted back

"RAYA, RAYA" i continued to shout as the waves began to try drown me

"SAKIYA HOLD ON!" Raya tried to swim closer to me but was knocked out the way

"I  WILL FIND YOU AGAIN RAYA! I PROMISE" I shouted before I was dragged under the water and carried away by the current

"NOOO SAKIYA STAY WITH ME!, please" Raya mumbled at the end and then gave up fighting the current 

"NOOOOOO"

A rather dramatic chapter if i do say so myself. Thank you all so much for your positive response to the first chapter in this book, it meant a lot. Anyway hope you enjoyed this chapter and i will update soon x
