Lovers from Heaven & Hell

Once upon a time, in a faraway land called
Heaven lived a beautiful young angel named Nevaeh. Nevaeh was a kind angel; she was loved by all as she treated everyone with love and respect. She had long golden hair that made her shine, her skin was a fare white while her dress was soft baby pink. Neveah was an eighteen-year-old princess of angels. She may be an angel but even angels have their dark secrets.

Once upon a nightmare, in a land known as Hell lived a young devil named Anubis. Anubis had a quite opposite life to Nevaeh; he was despised by everyone. Why? Because he was evil, dangerous, and everyone was afraid of him? No, he was hated for being too good. Anubis wore red jeans, a red jacket. He also had dark brown skin. He looked like a devil with horns and a tail, but he did not act like one. Anubis was the prince of hell, but he didn't like it as he was taught to be mean to everyone.

In between these two worlds was a border which nobody from the other side was allowed to cross. You could see the gates of heaven and hell from the opposite side, that is what Nevaeh saw as she stood at the edge of the border, waiting for someone.

"Where is he?" Nevaeh said, worried that her date would not show up.

"Guess who?" a deep voice said from the other side.

Nevaeh looked where the voice was coming from with anticipation. Out of the shadow walked Anubis with a smile.

"Anubis, there you are, I was afraid you wouldn't make it and I would have snuck out for nothing," Nevaeh said, relieved.

Both sides of the border hated each other and were forbidden to talk to the other. So, the prince and princess agreed to sneak out to meet each other at the gate every night.

"Of course not, I would never miss out on seeing my best friend," Anubis said, excited.

They had met three years ago by accident when they both stumbled to the border, too curious to resist what was out there. They immediately took a liking to each other, their friendship starting from there.

Truthfully, within their friendship was hidden feelings, feelings of love, but too afraid to admit it. They sat on the edge of the border which had a small gap to separate both sides, but big enough to fall through. They talked for what felt like hours, talking about their future.

"I wish my parents would accept that you're my friend, they think that you're going to kill me because well... you know... you're a devil," Nevaeh said.

Sometime later, they decided to part ways and head back to their castles. Nevaeh walked into her castle but was stopped by her parents.

"Where were you?" Her mother, the queen demanded. "You were with that devil, weren't you?"

Nevaeh didn't say anything, she didn't want to get Anubis into trouble. The queen could tell from her silence what the answer was.

"Nevaeh, I told you to stay away from him, he's a devil, and you're an angel."

"I don't care what you say" Nevaeh argued, very out of character for the angel princess.

In Hell, Anubis was facing the same problem. He was standing with his arms crossed leaning against a wall in front of the king.

"What's the matter with you?" His father roared.

He was going on about how he was a phoney devil, how he should stay away from the border, he had just about had it with him.

"Shut up. I can do whatever the hell I want" Anubis fought back.

Back in Heaven, the angels threatened to take away Nevaeh's crown if she didn't listen while Anubis was being told if he didn't stay away, he would be grounded forever.

"How could my daughter have ended up so disobedient?" The queen said, in disbelief.

"Why is my son a failure?" The king asked in anger and annoyance.

Anubis and Nevaeh could feel each other's pain, knowing it was time they fought back. Together was where they belonged, they were not going to let anyone stop them.

"Shut up, I love him," Nevaeh said, almost breaking down. Before her mother could stop here, she fled. She had to find him.

Back in Hell, Anubis could sense her pain. At that moment he knew, they had to run away together. He would fight the odds to be with her. He blocked out the king's yells of rage and ran to find his soulmate.

Both knew where to go. The border. Once Anubis arrived, he saw Neveah already waiting, they looked at each other in the eyes and took each other's hands over the gap, the same thought running through their heads.

"We must be free".

"Are you sure about this?" Nevaeh said.

Anubis kissed one of her hands and nodded.

"Together forever"

They Looked down at the gap, realization hitting them, once they jumped there was no going back. In the distance, they could hear their parents yelling their names.

"In case something happens, I want you to know" Anubis started but was interrupted by Nevaeh.

"I know, I love you too" He smiled, any fear floating away.

All they had to do was jump. They would be free to live life together. No one to tell them what to do.

"What is this placed were going too called anyway?" Nevaeh asked.

Below them, they could see greens, browns, and blues with hints of other colours, surrounded by white pieces of fluff floating above.

"It's called Earth," Anubis said.

"One, two..." they started counting down together, and with one final breath.

"Three"

As if the world was in slow motion, they jumped... now they can be together.

FOREVER
