• | bad company
what a time upon us
as we judge and rail without offense
and on himself decreed
that with darkness comes a guest
as a child sleeps
who would have believed it true
for all his mercies
and wisdom bound
that he would come
the sun burns east by her eyes
unpitied and alone

• | the hero
sorrow floods on you
as the sun breaks over the hills and down the iron bars with a broken heart;
the great goddess spoke:
do not doubt—
destiny can hear your trembling lips with mortal vermillion. Fate will always remember your courage—
a hero of life and death
beneath the weight of time

• | the human
on their way down
the first day of creation
the world desired to know
the new life abound
should it meet its destination
or should it cease to grow?
we would feed them then
care for and nurture their soul
blood to us they'd send
bare as the breath in the cold
we'd release the heat
set fire to pelts
they'd suffer defeat
our ice would melt
they would gasp
they would scorn
as we'd watch the palaces burn
they would ask
what's it worth?
but it is not a cause for concern

• | the message
when I meet my demise, I'll send you a butterfly
when you meet your fate, I'll meet you at the gates.
