Inko's feet were frozen.

She had ran un the mountain, bare-foot, holding her 5 year old son tightly in her arms. She stopped running at the top... when she reached a small boat. There was a river down below... at the bottom of the valley. But how could she get her and her son safely down there? After all, she was standing at the endge of a cliff. The woman fell down to her knees. She was frozen and couldn't run anymore.

"Mommy...? Why is Daddy mad?" the small, green haired boy asked.

"Honey.. I'm so sorry... I... get in here." Inko ordered as she lifted him up and placed him in the boat.

"Mommy?"

"Honey, you've got to hang on... okay? The ride is going to be rough. Alright? You're going to land in the river, and then... in a few days, you'll pass a village... okay? Don't look back. Be brave honey!" Inko cried.

"But... Mommy... if you don't come with me, Daddy will hurt you!" The child said. Inko shook her head.

"Izuku, sweetie, you're going to be fine! Daddy's just mad! He'll j-" The woman's head shot to the left, where her husband was climbing the mountain, close behind. She looked back at Izuku, her son.

"Honey, you've got to hang on. Okay? The water is cold, but this will keep you warm. Be brave, okay?" The woman quickly said, handing him her coat.

"But-"

"HANG ON!"

Inko let a few tears stream down her face as she pushed she boat over the cliff. The young woman then turned around, surprised to see her husband standing there.

Izuku cried as he clung onto the boat. He was about to fall to his death. He just kept his eyes onto the cliff, where he had just been pushed off... until he heard a painful screech and a splatter of blood, flying off the cliff.

The terrified child cried, and closed his eyes. "MOMMY!!!" he yelled, before getting knocked out.

Izuku opened his eyes, to a bright sun. He got up, all wet, and cold. He watched trees pass by, and listened to the sound of the river water, below him.

He was lost. Alone. Cold. Hungry. Wet, and Scared.

His mother's coat was still around his waist, keeping him warm, over his colorful onesie.

After a few days of floating calmly down the river, Izuku reached a dock. It was a few meters away from the boat, but if Midoriya didn't jump and swim, he was going to float to who knows where.

Therefore, the greenette jumped off the boat and struggled to swim against the currents.

"Help!!!" he gulped as he watched a couple walk by.

The two people soon came running towards him, dragging him out the river.

Midoriya was frozen, cuddled in the blonde woman's chest.

"It's okay kiddo." She whispered, carrying him away.

Izuku snuggled against her once more, before falling asleep.

He had no idea what was going to happen next... but he'll know once he wakes up.
