A year after the decimation, Carol had fought and protected several planets from greedy terrorists who took advantage of the mourning planets and the leaders who died in The Snap.

Of course, she'll always try her best to reply and talk to Thor through her pager to ask how he is. Everything had changed ever since she came back to Earth and it truly changed how she lived.

She had learned to understand other people's emotions, and learned to care and feel like a human being. Others had noticed her changing and she never doubted it.

Yes, she is still boastful, it was in her personality to be honest, but she had been training to balance that one because of her experience with Thor.

When she received his message on him visiting the remaining Avengers, she couldn't help but smile at the thought of him finally reuniting with his friends. Of course, she never had friends beside Nick Fury, who she missed as well.

The moment she replied on missing him, she didn't waste any time to take a one year leave to reunite with him. She missed him and she couldn't wait to be with him!

She wore her suit and made sure to put her pager in her pocket. She smiled. She couldn't wait to see Thor's face when she returned!

She flew her way to space, making sure she avoided the floating asteroids and the large rocks blocking her way.

She flew down towards the Earth from the skies like a bright shooting star. It was night in Norway and the Asgardians could be seen going back to their houses, while others were having late night conversations.

She landed on the grassy ground softly, watching the wind create a soft breeze around her that twirled the small leaves around. She looked around, noticing the quiet eerie atmosphere of the place.

She turned her suit off, letting her curly hair land on her shoulders. As she walked to Thor's house, she heard a little gasp.

"Ah, I see you're back."

Carol turned her head to face Valkyrie, whose was carrying some rice sacks with Korg. He was carrying three loads.

"Oh hey Carol. I see you have returned. Are you here for Thor?" She asked.

Carol smiled, "Hi Valkyrie and Korg. Yes, I have decided to stay here for a year. Also I have returned here for a surprise."

"Well things have gotten better around here. Thor's drinking habits are limited. He only drinks once a week, and apparently he plays this thing called a video game with Korg and Miek.

"Well, he kinda hates Noobmaster69 very much."

"Can't blame him. He kept calling me an idiot." Korg said.

"Yeah, me too. Things out in space have been terrible. You know, on what happened," Carol nodded, "Everything that happened on Earth is happening everywhere else. People are suffering from The Snap. It felt very real to them."

"There, I hope you two have a good night." Valkyrie said as she patted Carol's back.

Carol couldn't help but feel nervous though. She was nervous about this night and Thor's reaction. She inhaled deeply, preparing herself to walk through the door. When she did, she heard mumbling noises from inside.

"MIEK! Did you eat the damn pizza?!"

She chuckled a little bit, hearing Thor's voice as he yelled at Miek. He almost made a sound, but Carol quieted him. He listened, knowing who she was.

She kept hearing Thor's voice as she moved further in the house, and was about to surprise him but stopped suddenly.

"God, I miss her so much." Carol heard Thor's voice. She moved her head a little bit, watching him drink from a bottle. He placed it back on the table, not noticing her. She kept watching, eventually hearing a woman's voice.

"It's alright Thor. Whoever that woman is, I'm sure she does too."

Carol gulped a little, seeing the woman who looked about the same age as Valkyrie. Tall, beautiful, warrior like, and obviously Thor's friend. She frowned a little when she sat in front of him, giving him another drink. He grabbed it from her, opening it and started drinking. She kept watching as the woman moved her hand on top of Thor, which cause Carol to feel a bubbling rage of emotion inside her.

What is that woman doing with MY Thor?

Who is she anyways?

"Ugh, damn. I should stop now, Carol doesn't like it when I drink or feel sad. You know..." Thor muttered as he glanced up at the woman. Carol looked down at him, smiling at his words. He surely did keep his promise well to remember her.

She glanced up and her smiled faded.

"I wish she would come back, I feel... alone... like... really alone." Thor muttered as the mysterious woman moved her hand to caress his cheek. That made Carol widened her eyes even more.

"I'm here Thor."

"I need... I really need..."

"Thor..." The woman widened her eyes when Thor, due to the alcohol in his system, moved and kissed the woman on the lips. This striked Carol, who hadn't heard what he was saying due to the fast rush of hurt and betrayal. Korg had came back, and was about to greet Carol but she stormed out of the house.

Carol walked as fast as she could away from Thor's house, feeling the tears start to stream down her face. She had never felt this emotion before, and her chest clenched up like she was being suffocated and the hot water streaming down her cheeks seemed to make it worse as she tried to wipe them away. Valkyrie, who was talking with the other Asgardians, noticed Carol storming out of the town. She raised her eyebrow, and a worried look appeared on her face.

"Excuse me for a second..." She uttered, walking towards Carol.

Carol stopped far from the entrance of the village, standing beside the sign. She let out her emotions, from betrayal to just feeling hurt, wondering why Thor did that. Kissing a woman while she was away was something foreign. something unfamiliar to her, yet it hurt knowing it. She wiped the continuous tears from her face, putting her suit back on. She flew off the ground, towards the sky, not wanting to come back.

Valkyrie breathed heavily, crouching on the ground, staring up at bright light in the sky. She heard Korg behind her, and turned around.

"Where did the lady go?" Korg asked, looking around.

"I guess your friend messed it up. Damn it..." She muttered in between breathes, and Korg scratched his head.
