As the sun sets, and the moon wakes,
I think "will I ever make a difference?"
And as the moon sets, and the sun wakes,
I think "will I ever be enough?"
For as people may rise,
I wish there was a pair of eyes,
That who would only ever focus on me,
But deep down I know,
This wish has to go,
Perhaps I should focus on me?
"Maybe that is my solution!"
I think hopefully,
And as the sun wakes I think.
Maybe this can be my new day?
And when the moon finally rises from its nap in the sun's shadow, I think
"So perhaps I will be able to rule my own night, some night, any night."
And soon before later, I go back to my thought,
"Will I ever make a change?"
"Will I ever be enough?"
But no, i realize,
It is not what my accomplishments make me,
It is the people who look past those,
Those I can trust,
That really matters when the sun falls asleep,
And the moon rises to take its mantle
