i'm a good swimmer
but the deep end scares me
the waves look tempting
they look peaceful
the water is cold
but i'm used to it
the waves call me
i don't resist
i follow them
i close my eyes
they welcome me with open arms
they're gentle
i trust them
the cover me
the air in my lungs won't last very long
but it's ok
i'm not scared
throw me in the deep end
i'm ready now to swim
