Josie's pov:
Josie was walking towards Hope's room, but found her half way. Smiling weakly, Josie spoke first "I was just coming to find you, I thought we could talk". Hope nodded, not saying much "Sure". they both turned and headed towards Hope's room. Once they reached the door, Hope opened it and offered Josie in. Josie walked in and instantly sat on Hope's bed. Hope shut the door behind them, then joined her. "So, I just wanted to apologize, you seemed worried earlier when you came to the room. But I was safe, I took all the precautions before I did the spell". Josie was cut off by Hope "Josie, it doesn't matter what precautions you take. Black magic is toxic and it ruins people. I know I've made mistakes with black magic, but I'm stronger than you" this time it was Hope who was cut off "stronger than me? So you see me as weak just because your a Tribrid and have magic of your own? Nice one Hope".
Josie stood up and walked towards the door. She was stopped by Hope, who ran over and stood in front of the door. "Jo, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that I think your weak, I made a mistake. I should have chosen my words better. I just feel the need to protect you. It's like this force that makes me gravitate towards you and I can't help it". Josie stood quietly for a second before looking back at Hope "Hope, I told you to stop watching and looking out for me. I'm not a kid anymore". Josie stood looking at Hope as an unreadable expression crossed her face. It was a mix between hurt, sadness and frustration. Josie sighed before walking closer to Hope, "Look Hope, you know that we are friends, and I know that you care about me, so please just let me make my own decisions".
Josie could feel her heart beating out of her chest. She managed to hide it, or so she thought. There was silence between Hope and Josie until Hope finally spoke "I can't do this anymore Jo, I can't keep pretending that I'm just a friend. I'm probably going to regret this but". Within seconds Hope leant towards Josie, her lips meeting the brunette's. Josie stood still, not moving, but still accepting the kiss until Hope pulled away, her face flushed red. Josie was still speechless. She didn't know what to say or do, so she just stood there. Josie hadn't long broke up with Penelope, but right now Josie didn't care. She wanted Hope to kiss her again. Josie remembered back to when she had feelings for Hope. They were 14, but Josie always though that Hope preferred boys. But now Hope had kissed her, and for just a second Josie forgot how to breath. Josie knew she had to speak or say something, so she took a deep breath and looked into Hope's eyes. Completely ignoring the part of her brain telling her no before she managed to breath out "Kiss me again".
Hope's pov:
Hope had met Josie halfway back to her room. She was still concerned and needed to talk to Josie about it. As if Josie could read minds, she asked if her and Hope could talk. Hope agreed as they headed back to her room. Once they got there, Hope let Josie into her room. Once inside, Josie sat on her bed as Hope closed the door and quickly followed. She sat next to Josie as she began speaking. Hope was listening as Josie spoke, but quickly cut her off. Explaining that it didn't matter about any precautions that she had taken as black magic was still dangerous. But Hope knew that she had to be careful what she said as she had also used black magic once.
Hope was in the middle of talking when she was cut off by Josie, who looked upset and Hope realised that she had accidentally worded what she was trying to say wrong. Hope sat as Josie's facial expression turned from soft to cold and angry. Hope hated this look on Josie, and hated even more that she was the reason behind it. She watched as Josie stood up and began leaving. Hating the idea of Josie leaving mad at her. Hope got up and ran to the door, standing in front of it so she couldn't leave. Giving Hope a chance to explain. Hope knew she loved Josie, and right now all she wanted to do was make her feel better. Hope explained that she was trying to look out for her and protect her, but yet again Josie had told her that she didn't want her to. Hope felt frustrated at this point, she thought back to when they were on the dock's, and how she had lied to Josie and said she was just a friend. Hope regretted saying that and wished that she had told her the truth, because maybe then Josie would let her look after her.
Hope was brought out of her thoughts as Josie walked closer to her. Her face was so close and it was too overwhelming for Hope. All she wanted to do was kiss her, but it was taking every ounce of self control that she had not to. Hope was really trying to listen to what Josie was saying, but failing miserably. Finally, Josie had finished speaking. But all Hope had paid attention to was Josie saying they were friends. Hope finally couldn't take it anymore, before she came clean to Josie. Without thinking, she kissed her. Every bit of self control Hope thought she had was gone. All Hope could think about was how soft Josie's lips were, and how good it felt to kiss her. Hope eventually pulled away, gaining her breath. She could see that Josie's face was bright red and her breath was hitched. This was a good sign for Hope. After a few minutes of silence filled with tension, Hope finally heard Josie speak, but was surprised by what came out of her mouth next. "Kiss me again". As if on cue, Hope pulled Josie in close. Kissing her with every ounce of emotion she felt.
