Breath of Avians
~~~~~~~~~
Origins:
Inspired by Wind Breathing
Purpose:
Allow demon slayers to travel and glide effortlessly when going on long missions.
~~~~~~~~~
History:
A demon slayer who was considered "too frail" to fight developed this breathing style after witnessing the flight patterns of migrating birds. Inspired by how their wings can lift those tiny bodies off the ground, the demon slayer invented "Avian Breathing" in order to cater to their weak and frail body in battle.
Avian Breathing --which is branched off of Wind Breathing-- allowed the user to supposedly "fly" and glide through the air with ease. Similar to that of a bird, despite having the structure of a human.
This breathing technique was a very delicate yet straight to the point fighting style. As many of it's move sets contained one-hit attacks and nimble movements inspired and named after many different types of birds.
It is noted that this breathing style will not work for big and bulky demon slayers. For their bodies are not light enough to glide and fly easily.
Nichirin Type:
Avian Breathing requires two standard Nichirin swords.

Total Number of Move Sets: 9
First Form: Wingspan
The user crosses their arms into an X and rushes up close to the demon's head. Slowing moving their arms out of the X position, and slicing the demon's head off at the intersection. This move resembles the shape of a bird's wingspan when used.
Second Form: Air Dive Peregrine
The user launches towards the demon at rapid speeds. Building up momentum before slicing the demon's head and body clean off. This move is somewhat similar to Thunder Breathing's First Form, but is modified so that the impact of the attack affects areas of the body as well. Basically slicing up the body at once.
Third Form: Brave Eagle
The user launches a huge gust of wind from their blade in the shape of an eagle head. Capable of dishing out a heavy attack, or blocking/softening a blow.
Fourth Form: Osprey Talon Technique
The user throws one of their swords into the chest of the demon. Sending them back with the force of their blade, and pinning them to a nearby surface. Now trapped to the wall, the user is able to rush forward and decapitate them with their second blade.
Fifth Form: Hummingbird Dance
A very nimble and quick move. The user is able to dodge any given attack with the speed of a hummingbird's wing beat.
Sixth Form: Feather Cage
Similarly to Water Breathing's Eleventh Form, the user is able to stand completely still and defend themselves from multiple continuous attacks. This form will eventually break however if the attacks continue for a long time.
Seventh Form: Vulture's Death Circle
The user releases a circular slash around them capable of attacking/defending themselves from all areas. This form is useful for decapitating multiple enemies at once, as well as protecting the user from all angles.
Eighth Form: Peacock Waltz
The user releases a vertical, circular slash that fans out similar to that of a peacock's feathers. This form works best when the user is off the ground.
Ninth Form: Burning Phoenix
A hybrid move that conjoined Flame Breathing with Avian Breathing. The user seemingly dishes out a flame and wind attack that takes the form of a burning phoenix engulfed in flames.

A/N: I got the chance to watch the Mugen Train movie recently, and got inspired to write for KNY again. Apologies for the sudden hiatus, but I am now back :)
Some extra fun facts about Avian Breathing:
> Avian Breathing users can talk to and understand birds. No matter the species.
> The Fifth Form: Hummingbird Dance, rivals Insect Breathing in terms of speed and agility.
> Most Avian Breathing users are not afraid of heights. Key word: most.
> I like to think that many Avian Breathing users have feathers incorporated into their outfits. Whether it be a feathery cape/haori, or maybe an exotic bird feather in their hair.
> I also like to think that Avian Breathing users take great pride in their appearances. So they are often very flashy and decorative in comparison to other demon slayers.
> Avian Breathing users get distracted by shiny things. And may even hoard them from time to time.
